The letter that I was hired to deliver had

THIRTY-NINE

change of addresses and I've now crossed half of the back of beyond.

Why is working as a half-elven postmoogle like this?

[ Huh. Here is an unusual thing. Futaba is not usually one to use voice (or anything besides text) on the network. Maybe she wants to reassure other people with her voice and to hear theirs? Maybe it has something to do with the fact that her voice is still a bit muzzy with sleep. Maybe text requires more coordination than she has right now.

Either way, she's got an important post from her sort-of-brother to follow up on. ]

So.

[ There's a long, pregnant pause. ]

How many other memes are you all familiar with? Scientific curiosity.

[ She's been getting reputations up until now. The girl who gathers information. That one who really really mistrusts the Curti Center and is not afraid to be vocally critical of it. But it's past time she showed the world here who she truly is-

a shitposter. ]

[Set before the Imperial Dinner, after Vax gets back from the Dream Width. DOIN' THE TIME WARP.]

Have any of you ever disappeared before? I think I must have been in the Dream Width. I woke up on an airship.

It looks like it has more than I thought could happen out there. I've gotten some new memories of things back home.

[When the screen turns on, the entire linkshell is greeted with a pair of purple eyes followed by the same shade of hair. A moogle speaks off screen saying "It's on, kupo! Now you can talk!" and the device is moved further away to show that it is Camilla and yes, she doesn't use this device very often and did the silly thing of when you first learn of new technology.

Well, at least she didn't break it and she greets everyone with a small wave.]

Hello everyone, for those who have not met me, my name is Camilla from the Kingdom of Nohr and I have a question to ask, especially if you were in the Dream Width not too long ago. Has anyone come back with a strange Job that wasn't on their device before entering? I had spoken with Sir Ganeshan about it and he had told me that he's never seen a Job as such before.

And I would like to address the ones who were with me in that one strange dream: I'm sorry but I do not know everyone's name but would any of you mind coming with me to see Sir Ganeshan? I do not know if your case is the same as mine but it cannot hurt.

[There's one bit she's leaving out and for good reason: the fact that the Zora said that the Job was wrong but couldn't explain why makes her feel nervous. But keeping the Job on there when there is no information on it? She might not be as smart as Xander or Leo but even she can tell that it's bad news.]

So...

We have what? A month or two left at Curti Center?

Has anyone figured out where the fuck they want to move to yet?

[Today you are all graced with the visage of the Mars marshal, who has finally decided maybe it's time he brings something up here on the network.]

Howdy folks. Name's Sparks Nevada, if we haven't met yet. Before this planet, I was on one called Crystallis. Though before that, I was on Mars, and originally, I'm... from Earth. Thing is, I know a few folks who're from Crystallis that are here, too. It was kind of a similar situation. Y'know, the whole getting dragged outta yer home to be forced to live on another planet with crazy magic and chocobos and all that stuff. The difference there was that we were all considered to be somethin' called "Heroes of Light" and we had to basically save the planet -- the whole multiverse, actually -- from gettin' annihilated. Yer welcome, by the way.

Thing is, there are sure a lotta coincidences on this planet. If the jobs and the races 'a folks and all that ain't enough of a clue, the place names are a dead giveaway. Half of them are named for the Heroes from Crystallis. Even I got one - Sparks Goldsaucia. Pretty cool. Reckon it's all a bit too much to be a coincidence.

Bonnie also brought up the map to me, and... [He looks that over in a separate window.] If ya squint just right, and slide some bits around, sure as heck does look like Crystallis. Durin' that whole apocalypse thing, the planet did get kinda messed up and broken, so I guess we wouldn't have known what the continents looked like after all that. Woulda taken some time to re-map, and I was only there for a month after the whole ordeal was over. Had a planet to get back to marshaling, ya see.

What's my point to all this? Guess my point is that I don't believe in coincidences. The universe is, like, both too big and too small at the same time for that nonsense, if'n that makes any sense at all. It does. I think.

[ It'd kinda taken a backseat with everything else going on, but there's still something that's been bothering her a bit. She could just dismiss it as a kid making things up but... after everything she's experienced here, and back home, she's got a gut feeling there's more to it.

She can't search the internet like she used to but... well that doesn't mean crowdsourcing is off the table. ]

Hey, did anybody else run into a weird girl on their first day here? A little kid, blonde hair.

Also does anybody know what the name of this "linkshell" means? Kali Shashidhwaja. She mentioned that, along with telling me that "she" would try to hurt me if I ever lost it and was alone.

[ As a final note, she added the two pictures the girl had doodled, described as follows: " There was a crude drawing of a feminine figure with purple eyes standing over what appeared to be the corpses of a human and a moogle, looking a bit eerily similar to Futaba and her moogle even though the drawing was crude. " Along with "This time the figures looking like Futaba and her moogle were standing alive, and were surrounded by other figures. They faced toward the purple-eyed figure, who seemed to be fleeing."

And now, to see what information others might have... ]
