Some of you may have heard, or this is otherwise very last minute, but tomorrow there is a local festival celebrating the contributions and cultures of Otherworlders. It takes place in Min'To, the scholars truly dedicate themselves in the efforts to learn and preserve as much as they can about the Otherworlders. Though it might not seem that way at times, we've always greatly appreciated them throughout our history.

[And with how things were shaping up, maybe this was where they needed to focus their efforts to address the oncoming Calamity. ]

The celebration doesn't have to be limited to Min'To, I don't know if we were successful in distributing enough pamphlets about regional holidays this month in time. If you're comfortable sharing what you love about your cultures and worlds, I'd be honoured to listen and perhaps pass it on to the scholars. Or we can meet in person another time, it isn't something that should be limited to one day.

There is something else I want to ask, however. [ More like several things, in all honesty, but this would already be pushing boundaries. Breathe, Sylvarie. ]

Has anyone else felt they are searching for something... else, here in Vaikuntha? Something more? Something that has been lost.

You don't have to answer, I know it sounds strange. You can ignore this altogether if you wish. Thank you for listening.

[ The look on Sylvarie’s face could be nothing other than apprehension as she looks down at her slate resting on the floor between them, chewing her lip softly. ]

Do you think this is a good idea? Should we maybe ask the Director first? Or even Mogaruru?

[ Lean shakes his head in response, regarding Sylvarie with a slightly amused expression. ]

It’s okay. Given the circumstances, we’re doing them a favour. Press the button when you’re ready.

[ Well, could she really be ready given they have absolutely no reference for who they are dealing with other than a dislike of Comic Sans (a wise choice)? Breathing out, Sylvarie looks to Lean straight in the eyes despite the low lighting of her bedroom. ]

If anything happens to my slate, may I borrow yours? [ Either way, her finger is hovering over that button. ]

[ There’s a moment where the young man visibly hesitates, feeling uncomfortable with the notion of sharing his personal data with someone else… but seeing no other options, Lean eventually agrees.]

F-fair enough. As fair as I know, Moogles can fix anything on the spot, though. [ Either way, he’d rather hope nothing happens, commenting with a nod. ] Go on.

[ Then the real message begins and their feed goes live, in text format to start for the sake of politeness. ]

We do not mean to disturb you if it is a late hour where you are. We were simply wondering if, as someone with whom we share this Linkshell, you may be willing to discuss some questions with us? Regarding the greyed names.

> We have been aware of your presence for a long while now, yet you have decided not to reveal your true self. Why? What is your purpose?

[ Lean, you are getting a Look. ]

And if this format doesn’t work for you, we may do video instead? ヽ(´o`;

[ What? An emogi might help relax them all. ]

((ooc: though addressing killerofworlds specifically, you are welcome to threadjack and add a few questions! fellow coworkers, feel free to seek out your night owls. ))

[ The feed starts with the image of a dark-haired young woman, brows furrowed in concentration as she seems to be fiddling with the slate. Following several seconds she pulls back, seemingly satisfied. ]

Steady… There, it’s started.

Hello everyone, I hope many of you are doing well. We are the employees of Curti Center charged with assisting outworlders and newcomers to Vaikuntha.

Any questions? )

[ Despite an... enlightening? conversation with a coworker, Sylvarie still found herself wanting more perspectives on a topic that had been increasingly nagging at her.

To ask those from different parts of Vaikuntha was one thing, but what of asking those who were from different worlds altogether? Maybe one could at least provide some sense of peace. ]

I understand everyone is still settling in to life here, trying to discover for themselves how our world works. But the truth of the matter is, those who have been recovered from the Dream Width have made their own contributions to Vaikuntha as well, with their technology, cultures and customs. molding our way of life over many generations.

With that in mind, I would like to ask what it means to be an 'adult' in your worlds, what responsibilities come with being deemed as such? Does it involve a rite of passage, or is a person merely proclaimed as such once they are of a certain age? Even here what a person may or may not do differs drastically depending on which country you are in.

... And would those adult responsibilities mean going to a chocobo festival is out of the question and childish?

[ It'd kinda taken a backseat with everything else going on, but there's still something that's been bothering her a bit. She could just dismiss it as a kid making things up but... after everything she's experienced here, and back home, she's got a gut feeling there's more to it.

She can't search the internet like she used to but... well that doesn't mean crowdsourcing is off the table. ]

Hey, did anybody else run into a weird girl on their first day here? A little kid, blonde hair.

Also does anybody know what the name of this "linkshell" means? Kali Shashidhwaja. She mentioned that, along with telling me that "she" would try to hurt me if I ever lost it and was alone.

[ As a final note, she added the two pictures the girl had doodled, described as follows: " There was a crude drawing of a feminine figure with purple eyes standing over what appeared to be the corpses of a human and a moogle, looking a bit eerily similar to Futaba and her moogle even though the drawing was crude. " Along with "This time the figures looking like Futaba and her moogle were standing alive, and were surrounded by other figures. They faced toward the purple-eyed figure, who seemed to be fleeing."

And now, to see what information others might have... ]
