This may seem like a strange question to ask, and it may have even been asked before, but I'm personally curious

Did you have magic in your home worlds? What form did it take?

I'm still getting used to how different things are here. The very idea of ignoring leylines and being able to use magic most anywhere in the world still kind of baffles me. Where I come from, if you're too far from a leyline or a Sorcerer Stone, you're out of luck if you want to tap into any mana, personal or otherwise. I mean, there were exceptions to this, but on a global scale like it is here? It's taken some getting used to.

Ufufu~. Some work was suddenly called off, so surprisingly I’m free for an entire week. There’s no ghosts, no exploration, and no kidnappings for me to deal with.

[She pauses, blinks.]

My, when was the last time I was able to do so much? I’m not even sure what to do with my break...and to think, I was so happy to get time off that I just started talking to everyone without a clear direction in mind.

Ah, I know~. I still should earn some money this week, right? I’m well-respected in the Astrologian’s guild these days, and they’ve been teaching me all sorts of ways to tell accurate fortunes. Would anyone be interested in that? I can tell you all about how lucky you’ll be in love, or your future in romance, or what the stars say about your crush...or other things. Or you can just stop by to have tea and cake with me in between clients. How does that sound?

[She places her hand to her cheek.]

Please tell me you’ll come visit me~.

[ooc; Because of all the player plots, this takes place sometime after the second and sometime before the third and fourth one, but the laws of time and space might be bent a little. It's okay, we'll be flexible.]

[The feed opens up to reveal Cor in his traveling clothes, sitting near a beach. It's sunrise, and it looks rather lovely....

Except for the fact that Cor himself looks like he's had the snot beaten out of him, bloody bandages and all.]

Just a question - anyone else noticed that all the monsters have grown more aggressive than normal lately? Pretty sure that they're not supposed to be this eager to tear people apart.

If any Natives know if this is a regular occurrence, feel free to let the rest of us know.

[He pauses as he adjusts the bandages around one arm.]

...doesn't feel like it's normal, though...

[The last bit is muttered just as the feed is turned off.]

[ There's a bit of fumbling before the video feed finally turns on. Standing in front of the camera, slightly off center and clearly not looking at the right place is a bespectacled woman dressed like a witch, which despite the time of year, isn't a costume. Off camera is the voice of a female moogle, her tone bright and warm. ]

*Alright Miss Ursula! You're recording now!*

Oh? W-wait, really? H-hold on, I uh... [ The woman suddenly balks, her glasses slipping slightly as she fumbles about off screen before finally grabbing some notes. ]

Um. Hello to, uh. Everyone, I guess. My name is Ursula Callistis, I'm a professor of astrology at Luna Nova Academy, which is. Well. Not here, but I'm so used to including that in introductions that I'm not sure what else to say...

*Um. Your notes, Miss Ursula.*

Oh! [ Ursula jumps, as if she'd forgotten she was even holding them ] Right!

Um, first thing's first, I've been assigned housing in B-03 so uh... [ Ursula adjusts her glasses, peering at the paper ]

and... More Ag? Morag? Moe Rahg? Am I pronouncing that right?

Um, I guess... we're roomies now? This is awkward.

*Just keep going, Miss Ursula, you're doing fine!*

[ The woman lets out a sigh. ] Alright, uh. Next thing.

I've taken up the, erm, 'jobs' of Astrologian and Black Mage, since my first thought arriving here was to study as much about this world's magic as I can. But to do that, I'm going to need to head to the guilds for these 'jobs'. So if there is anyone willing to escort me to Cloud City and Kiddilion, I'd really appreciate it.

[ Another sigh, Ursula adjusts her glasses and her look goes from awkward and worried to something a little... harder to read ]

I know this is a lot to ask all of the sudden for someone just arriving, especially when everyone seems to be anxious about what's going to happen, but I also can't just sit idly by and let things happen around me and let other people figure things out.

I want to help. This is the only way I know now. So I guess, um... Help me help you? Does that make any sense?

*I think it does, Miss Ursula! You did an excellent job, congratulations!*

[ Ursula gives a small, weak smile before the feed cuts off. ]
