text; another mystery to uncover...!
[ The look on Sylvarie’s face could be nothing other than apprehension as she looks down at her slate resting on the floor between them, chewing her lip softly. ]
Do you think this is a good idea? Should we maybe ask the Director first? Or even Mogaruru?
[ Lean shakes his head in response, regarding Sylvarie with a slightly amused expression. ]
It’s okay. Given the circumstances, we’re doing them a favour. Press the button when you’re ready.
[ Well, could she really be ready given they have absolutely no reference for who they are dealing with other than a dislike of Comic Sans (a wise choice)? Breathing out, Sylvarie looks to Lean straight in the eyes despite the low lighting of her bedroom. ]
If anything happens to my slate, may I borrow yours? [ Either way, her finger is hovering over that button. ]
[ There’s a moment where the young man visibly hesitates, feeling uncomfortable with the notion of sharing his personal data with someone else… but seeing no other options, Lean eventually agrees.]
F-fair enough. As fair as I know, Moogles can fix anything on the spot, though. [ Either way, he’d rather hope nothing happens, commenting with a nod. ] Go on.
[ Then the real message begins and their feed goes live, in text format to start for the sake of politeness. ]
> Excuse us, um..

We do not mean to disturb you if it is a late hour where you are. We were simply wondering if, as someone with whom we share this Linkshell, you may be willing to discuss some questions with us? Regarding the greyed names.
> We have been aware of your presence for a long while now, yet you have decided not to reveal your true self. Why? What is your purpose?
[ Lean, you are getting a Look. ]
And if this format doesn’t work for you, we may do video instead? ヽ(´o`;
[ What? An emogi might help relax them all. ]
((ooc: though addressing killerofworlds specifically, you are welcome to threadjack and add a few questions! fellow coworkers, feel free to seek out your night owls. ))

Okay so uh. If you have any way of strengthening your spam filters or adblocks or whatever I'd do that now.
Just. Trust me on this.

[ And she’s not about to call Primrose in again, when she’s alone in her bedroom with Lean wearing nothing but their nightwear. ]
text;
I’m afraid that even with these precautions, settings can still be overriden remotely in one way or another. We have to face the risk.

That's what the gibberish means, btw
killerofworlds
I know you're reading my notes Lean so you probably saw it in the update but it's base64, a kind of code computers use on my world.
Anyway after what happened to Hunk I was trying to beef up my own tablet's security before poking em again. And also not on Comic Sans day since they don't seem to like that.
[ The mention of Hunk twinges a bit, but she ignores it for now. ]
text;
If anything happens to my slate, Lean has already agreed to give me his.
[ Okay, so maybe that's not exactly as he said... And Futaba isn't the only one subdued by the mention of Hunk, but there were more important things to address. ]
This person, whoever they are, has been in the Linkshell for two months now and we've few leads to who they may be or what they are like as a person. It's past time to establish that communication.
text;
Just be careful? What they did to Hunk's tablet wasn't anything like. Super awful or anything. They didn't brick it or anything like that. But he brought it to me afterwards and it was beyond my ability to fix. So whoever they are? They know their stuff.
[ It'd be a different story if she were using Earth tech or she'd had more time, she's sure, but. Well, that wasn't the case. ]

What are you two doing?

Someone was way too focused on the spooky name on the bright slate screen. ]
O-Owen?! How long have you...?

Why do you always try contacting me at the wrong time? I'm so busy. T_T
But at least it's not comic sans day, so no spam for you (~_^)
And I will stick to text if we converse, thank you.
private;
So while Sylvarie is in a rush to track Lean down for this most important of exchanges, she sets up a private filter for them to communicate. After all, she wouldn’t want others to come in and be inflicted with spam instead. ]
I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were that busy. For the future when would be the best times to contact you? Or if it works better for you, you can contact me instead. I’m only a young representative to Curti Center, but I’ll give you my best efforts. (^-^)
And between us, I agree with the opinion about comic sans
unlocked;
There's no real good time to message me. I won't reply every time. I'm replying now because it's the first decent attempt at contacting me. It's nice after having been ignored for months (◕︵◕)
I'm just very happy that you let me look at your conversations these past couple months. Makes things a bit less boring ヾ(〃^∇^)ノ
No need to make this conversation private btw (✿◠‿◠) If someone want to reply, let them. I'm not spiteful enough to flood everyone's inbox with spam.
unlocked;
I thought it might be better to ease in slowly, I’m not sure how many are locking into this but it can be overwhelming to be asked so many questions by so many different people at once. But if you’re okay with it, we’ll keep it open. (シ_ _)シ
[ Speaking from personal experience and all! ]
I can understand how these conversations would make things less boring, there are so many different experiences out there. What sort of work do you do?
I’m sorry for the loneliness, I hadn’t realised you had been feeling that way all these months. A message from a friend when you’re alone can mean the world. (;へ;)
Re: unlocked;
It doesn't really surprise me though \(^▽^)/ If more people were like you, perhaps thing could be different. It's sad in a way, I really wish your sacrifice would have changed things.
But some things never change (>_<)
no subject
What was this about sacrifice? ]
I don’t consider watching over the outworlders a sacrifice, I chose to do what I could to protect them. Maybe they can help our world and society for the better as other outworlders have in the past.
Some have been truly kind and patient, I can’t say I regret the opportunity Sir Chandius gave me.
Maybe one could even help with the change you are implying?

So uh. Just curious.
Where'd you learn that code? And why that name?
[ Futaba's leaving the diplomatic approach to Sylvarie. She's just gonna dive right in for answers. ]

That's the name of my Job ٩(◕‿◕。)۶

The hair on the back of Futaba’s neck is suddenly standing up on end. ]
Just so we’re clear

Kalki or not, I'm sure you remember me. And I'd rather continue to exist with pain than not to exist at all. Because pain gives us the perspective to appreciate what is good.
I'd go through the pain of leaving my homeworld again for the good I have found outside it. So you can take that and choke on it.

Life to be a little bit less of the complete garbage it is (◕︵◕)
Take this iMog Slate. It was created because people tried improving life and make things better when it comes to communication.
There's really no concrete improvement though ●︿●

Forgive the intrusion, but if this is indeed an individual currently involved with a certain mutual acquaintance of the draconic persuasion...
It's easy to think that if you burn everything to ashes, all your problems will be solved. The world is unfair, uncaring, an endless pointless clockwork, spinning through the black with its springs running, inexorably, down.
If you can't find your happy ending, then surely the rest of the world shouldn't get one, either?
I'll say this much, whether you wish to listen to reason or not.
You won't like what happens if you follow this path to its conclusion. It won't bring you joy, it won't solve anything, and when you're stopped the only thing you'll feel is regret.
It's sent privately... but 'A2' may not keep it that way for long.
