Hey everyone!
The trip around Vaikuntha has made me realize we barely know anything about what everyone's homes are like, don't we? It's important to learn more about this world if we're to live here, but it's even more important to get to know each others if we're going to live here together. I think we could learn a lot by sharing neat details about what our homeworlds are like.
I come from a planet called Earth. We have no magic or magitek, no jobs or monsters between cities. Most of these things belong to the realm of fantasy and imagination where I come from. It is what the people of my world excel at, creating stories and imaginary worlds with words and images for people to enjoy. We have technology kinda like what they have in Oktavia, but not as advanced.
But anyway, that's it for my homeworld. If you'd like to share what your world is like, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

We have technology kind of like Oktavia, except we have space travel. Like airships except more advanced. We have a place called the Galaxy Garrison to teach students what they need to excel in spacefaring lives. So we might have different Earths. Or the same Earth at different times?
Also my friends and I travel through space and help distant worlds with their problems. Tends to involve beating up monsters and despots with space lions. It's crazier than it sounds. Also Shiro and I are from the same world (If you read this, Hi Shiro!)
Oh, this is Hunk, by the way. (・ω・)b

It is a beautiful city but it has its problems. Some of which are a surplus of refugees from the nation of Ala Mhigo. Ala Mhigo has been liberated, but not all of the refugees have returned to their homelands, nor do some of them want to. Ul'dah works to benefit Ala Mhigo and our own coinpurse when it can as it stands.
Other than that, the land is rich with people of all nations, traders come and go at our port in Vesper Bay and other locations. With luck, the city will run itself with my absence.

But hey, that doesn't stop Baiken from being Baiken, regardless.-
It's a shithole.

I can also add that from talking with a few others that simply coming from the same world may not necessarily be from the same place. From the few people I have met there seems subtle variations in time as well. This difference can be as short as a few months to as long as many years. I believe this may be important to know. The same world at a different time could be two drastically different locations.

Kupo!
This thing is tricky to use with paws
um my world is Crystallis
It's a bit like this one?
I was a helper moogle for one of the summoned Heroes there but the reason they were being summoned wasn't just to save the world but also because it turned out my world was using theirs to keep itself from dying. And then there was the Calamity that came about because of that. But it was also contained by the way things were going
But our Heroes stopped it and put an end to the cycles
And um
Some of them sacrificed themselves to make a new world? I'm still not clear on how it worked
but a lot of the names of places in this world are a lot like Crystallis' Heroes
Do you think it means something? Is this that world?
kupo,
Bonnie

Hope truly is an amazing thing, to enable people to still strive forward when shown the true ugliness of man.

This is Connie! Nice to see you again, Monika!
A couple thousand years ago, an alien species called Gems invaded and tried to drain the planet of all its resources. They were defeated by a rebellion, but the planet's still been dealing with the aftershocks of the war ever since. There are a few monsters called Corrupted Gems in the wilderness, and occasionally we deal with a few scouts from Homeworld or some other kind of gemtech-induced wackiness.

Our play island had Papou Trees on it, too! They had these star shaped fruits and it's said that if you shared the fruit with someone you cared about your destinies would be intertwined forever.

I'm also from an Earth, with humans, though I have an outsider's view of them. I'm not human, or land-dwelling but I work with them. The name for the part of the ocean I live in is the North Atlantic Ocean, off the shore of the city of New York.
[And S'reee trying to say human-language place names drives home that her voice doesn't sound very human -- a lot of the consonants are half-clicked, and vowels are dropped or held too long]
Human societies are... oh, the words in the Speech are sevarfrith and asdurrafrith for short. Sevarfrith means that wizards don't practice their art openly in those societies, though usually their kin-groups will know. Asdurrafrith means that a species as a whole hasn't met other self-aware species, and may not be prepared for it.
In the Sea's name, it feels weird introducing humans to this, even if you all are here on a world that is astahfrith. I can't shake the feeling that I'm breaking the rules.

[That still feels strange to write. It's not the full truth, but it's close enough.]
It's a little like this world, actually. We have to use magic to fight fiends when we travel, we have shoopufs, and Blitzball is a huge sport for us too! We play to keep ourselves busy and to give us something to look forward to when we're worried.
But if that's true here too, I'm a little worried about what Vaikunthans might be distracting themselves from.
