Hey everyone!

The trip around Vaikuntha has made me realize we barely know anything about what everyone's homes are like, don't we? It's important to learn more about this world if we're to live here, but it's even more important to get to know each others if we're going to live here together. I think we could learn a lot by sharing neat details about what our homeworlds are like.

I come from a planet called Earth. We have no magic or magitek, no jobs or monsters between cities. Most of these things belong to the realm of fantasy and imagination where I come from. It is what the people of my world excel at, creating stories and imaginary worlds with words and images for people to enjoy. We have technology kinda like what they have in Oktavia, but not as advanced.

But anyway, that's it for my homeworld. If you'd like to share what your world is like, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

It sounds like you've had a pretty fulfilling life so far. That's something to be proud of, I can only hope to achieve the same.

Ahaha. Does that sound weird, if I say I'm more interested in what this world has to offer than going back to my Earth?

I don't think it's weird. I've spent enough time seeing what other worlds has to offer that I'm pretty used to it.

Most people don't have that experience. It's awesome that you want to get out of your comfort zone, though!

Anything in particular that you're interested in?

Everything really. It's hard to even know where to start, you know?

It feels like being in a library with countless amazing books to pick from.

Ahaha, that's a bit embarrassing to share.

[ Being tempted to do terrible things just to make sure this world is real, not something she's proud to admit. ]

Maybe someday I'll share it. But I feel like there are some things I'd like to keep for myself for now.

What's the fourth thing, then?
You can't say you're interested in what this world has and then just NOT share!

[ Well, that takes some thinking. What she wants to do first is pretty obvious. So is her second objective. Third then four...

After a short bit, she replies but locks the conversation from being seen by other people in the linkshell. ]

First, I want you to promise you won't repeat or say it to anyone.

[ Hunk sees the locked message, and he can't help but tense up. Monika's been dodgy about almost everything, and to open up about anything in a locked message, with that line?

He's definitely a little anxious. ]

I promise.

[ It's gotta be something embarrassing, like "I want to perform on Broadway!" or "I want to ride a dragon!" Right? ]

Thank you. I realize this might be a strange request, but I don't like putting my thoughts on display for all to see.

I had an epiphany some time ago, well before we all arrived here. It's pretty complicated to explain but it's changed my perception of the world. You know, like when children realize Santa Claus isn't real? It changes everything for them, the little world they used to live in is shattered and their eyes are open to a new reality. Well, something like that.

Anyway, you're probably wondering what that epiphany was. But I can't tell you. Revealing it, that's actually the fourth thing on my list. I'd like to share what my realization was with everyone here. It's coming off a bit strongly and it's not something I can share so easilly... But it hurts a lot to keep it in, you know? Sometimes it feels like my head is going to explode when I think too much about it. I opened up about it once in my homeworld, but it didn't go very well. Here though, I feel things might be different. I hope.

Accomplishing this fourth goal is conditional to the first and third things on my list getting accomplished first. So it might be awhile till you hear anything more about that, ahaha.

[ There's a long delay, with messenger indications of Hunk's typing flickering on and off every few seconds. He's either choosing his words carefully or eating a sandwich. But after quite a few minutes, a message appears. ]

I don't know what to say, since I don't know what the problem is.
But this is obviously hard for you, and I'm sorry you're hurting.

I've had friends open up about world-shaking things before.
I've seen it go really well, and absolutely horribly.
I've learned stuff that changed my whole world, too.

You can tell me when you're ready. No rush.
But if there's anything I can do to help with #1 and #3 then just ask, okay?

[ There's a moment of pause further, but then it's clear he's typing another message. ]

You can do this! (●´・ω・)

[ After that, Monika disconnects and ends the string of communication. She's said too much already, really. ]
