Hey everyone!

The trip around Vaikuntha has made me realize we barely know anything about what everyone's homes are like, don't we? It's important to learn more about this world if we're to live here, but it's even more important to get to know each others if we're going to live here together. I think we could learn a lot by sharing neat details about what our homeworlds are like.

I come from a planet called Earth. We have no magic or magitek, no jobs or monsters between cities. Most of these things belong to the realm of fantasy and imagination where I come from. It is what the people of my world excel at, creating stories and imaginary worlds with words and images for people to enjoy. We have technology kinda like what they have in Oktavia, but not as advanced.

But anyway, that's it for my homeworld. If you'd like to share what your world is like, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

I'm still alive... Ultimately that's what matters. And I don't intend to let myself be buried here when I've still got work to finish back home.

I'm sure you do. Or you're just looking for a polite way to end a conversation you weren't prepared for. -There's that puffing sound again...-

I would lie if I said this conversation wasn't unexpected, or if I pretended I'm not at a loss for words, but... [A pause.] Complex and contradictory feelings are what make a human. In a sense, that's nearly comforting to hear someone with a different kind of answer.

[garyoutensei]

Were you worried about our humanity? About your own?

[peninhand]

Is there a difference? Everything here is so strange and different... If you're not human, why would I be?

[garyoutensei]

You talk as if humanity is relative... I guess I can't say you're wrong, but I can almost promise you that you're nothing like me.

At least I really hope you're not. Because if you are, that smile in your tone is the most fake thing I've been presented with since arriving.

[peninhand]

I can't say I'm faking it. But I can't say either why I'm smiling.

Truth to be told, I don't think I've seen a single genuine smile since arriving here. Ah... Aha... Perhaps that answers my question.

[garyoutensei]

-Another pause.- Sounds like you just learned a bitter truth about us human folk.
