[Look, it's another blonde on the network. However, it was definitely a teenager, and beside him was perhaps the grumpiest Moogle to be seen. It doesn't take long for it to flutter out of view, glowering all the while. Either the boy wasn't bothered by it or just chose to ignore it as he smiled before slightly frowning.]

Hi...

I want to start by taking a moment to apologize. Normally, I'd make an effort to get to know everyone and I wanted to respond to more people on the network, but when we all arrived from the Dream Width, something pretty important to me didn't make it through. Biggs and Wedge managed to find it recently - thanks again by the way. Still, that doesn't excuse my behavior to some people so... I'm sorry about that.

[He nodded his head once and allowed for a beat of silence in which he rubbed the back of his head before recomposing himself]

Anyway, my name's Adrien and I'm from Paris, France on Earth. Until recently, I was homeschooled and I still have a lot to learn when it comes to socializing outside of a fundraiser or a show. Aside from that, I've been tutored in other subjects like Chinese, piano, and fencing, the last I've applied to my asterisk. If you guys ever need a Swordmaster or Ninja, I'm totally up for lending a hand.

[He smiled wider.]

Powered down but this has happened before. Give it time and the Black Lion will be flying again.

I do. Well, [Shiro glances back at the Lion and his smile turns to a grin.] It chose me to fly it. Long story.

Anyway, there’s really not much to socializing. It just takes practice and deciding how much of yourself you want to put out there. The only real advice I can give is treat others as you want to be treated. But I’m sure you know that.

It chose you? [Shiro, Shiro, he's going to ask all the questions when you're back at the house.]

Yeah, I know. I got a crash course on that the first day attending public school.

[The look on his face says it all. Shiro's gaze softens.] I see. So long as you try, that's all you can do.

[After that bit of gentle advice he nods.] The lions have their own life force. And make their own choices to some degree. You could say I got my partner back.

Cool... Uh, so, does that mean it likes getting pets too or no? [He's completely serious. Does the giant robot kitty accept pats?]

[He blinks. He glances back at the silent lion.]

I don't see why not. I...never actually asked. We were pretty busy. [Fighting off Black's former pilot who refused to Let It Go.]

Oh, that makes sense. [He still doesn't know all the details, but fighting is fighting. And for Shiro, it was probably way more serious.] Whenever it powers on, you should try asking.

I think I will. [It’s never been a thought to him. He had raised his eyebrows at Hunk scratching a living planet. But if the Lion wants that...]

And you can come see the Lion any time you want to. I’m just outside the house. It was too big to leave at the center and I wouldn’t do that to Black.

Really? I can?!

[Like, he's definitely not going to get in trouble just... being close by?]

Until Black powers back up there won’t be a barrier to lock out all but their chosen pilot. If you want to come look at it, it’s perfectly safe to do so.

[Once Black is up and running it could protect itself. And no harm can come of looking at the powered down Lion.]

[He just really wants to see it because it's a giant space lion]

[He grins and laughs, holding up his hands.]

No. It's bee sort of written on your face. And in your shoes I'd want to see it too.

S-Sorry, I'm usually better at that. [But at the same time... it's not like he would get in trouble for being enthusiastic, right?]

Hm... Maybe the beginning? Like, robot lions aren't just a normal thing, right? How did you come to pilot one?

[Ah, asking for how the Paladins came to be Paladins. He looks back at the Black Lion thoughtfully.]

It was a little crazy at the start. We were trying to get the Lion on Earth before the aliens coming after it did. We lead them away from Earth with it and decided as a team to listen to the Lion, it led us to the others.

Mine was sealed within a castle. The other four had to be brought together to unseal it.

The Voltron Lions are over ten thousand years old.

['There was a Lion on Earth?' was about to be his first question, but Shiro mentions there's four more. And there's a castle and ten thousand years old? Woah...]

Wow. So, there's five lions? But why only five?

[Though, his inner nerd already thinks about giant robots. Please say the lions become a giant robot, Shiro...]

That's because they're five parts of the same giant robot. Black is the head and chest. Hunk pilots a leg. [Yes, it's giant robots, Adrien.]
