[ It'd kinda taken a backseat with everything else going on, but there's still something that's been bothering her a bit. She could just dismiss it as a kid making things up but... after everything she's experienced here, and back home, she's got a gut feeling there's more to it.
She can't search the internet like she used to but... well that doesn't mean crowdsourcing is off the table. ]
Hey, did anybody else run into a weird girl on their first day here? A little kid, blonde hair.
Also does anybody know what the name of this "linkshell" means? Kali Shashidhwaja. She mentioned that, along with telling me that "she" would try to hurt me if I ever lost it and was alone.
[ As a final note, she added the two pictures the girl had doodled, described as follows: " There was a crude drawing of a feminine figure with purple eyes standing over what appeared to be the corpses of a human and a moogle, looking a bit eerily similar to Futaba and her moogle even though the drawing was crude. " Along with "This time the figures looking like Futaba and her moogle were standing alive, and were surrounded by other figures. They faced toward the purple-eyed figure, who seemed to be fleeing."

First, I want to thank you for being forthcoming with your information.
That was very brave of you and you deserve to be commended for your earnestness.
The information was also very helpful, particularly about the events that happened in that previous world. The commonalities of those event and these are too similar not to be a coincidence.
In your opinion, do you believe that a remnant of the calamity had survived the reformation of that world and somehow managed to take root in this one?
text;
[He'd argue it wasn't bravery, that it was a survival instinct that annoyingly got drilled into his thick skull, but that'd be wasting time.]
That's just it. If what she said was true, then the events that led to the end of the cycle in the other world would have used all of the calamity to make this one.

Interesting.
If I am understanding this right, I can see two possibilities that could lead to this event.
Either a remnant of the Calamity that somehow survived and was transplanted into this world, or this is a person that knew of that history and is attempting to use the imagery to evoke a response.
That also raises two questions. If its the first scenario, then how did that remnant survive? And if its the second scenario, then how did they get such an accurate depiction of one affect by the calamity -- and for what purpose?

Anyone who died would be reborn in that world. Powerful souls, like Chaos, would regain their memories over time. We also learned that the melodies were the key, and it was those four Heroes' melodies the calamity needed to help reform it.

And the person that was afflicted with Kalki? Could it be possible that her reincarnation could still be keeping their "melody?"

[She pauses to looks over her next sentence. Her fingers click on the side of her iMog as she considers whether or not to send.]
Do you or did you know that person personally?
no subject
[And, because this is a little more personal than he'd like to share with everyone on the linkshell, he marks this next part private.]
He- Ramza was more visibly proactive in politics while we kept to the shadows.

Were you to ask me a year ago, I would have probably been harsh on doing things that way.
But I have learned that sometimes keeping things covert is necessary and, at times, the only way of doing things.
Its a shame that somebody that was so involved and working as a representative of your group had something so horrible happen to him.
no subject
He's looking at Moglina and wondering if perhaps sending letters might have been a better plan, after all.]
Exactly.
And, yeah. Though he was making a full recovery when we woke up here, so. Hopefully he'll be fine.
no subject
You mention "we." May I ask how many of this past group are available?
I don't need specifics. I can respect your desire to keep their names private if that is what you feel is in the best interest of everyone.
You deserve that much consideration.

I'm not sure. The only two I know of here that are aware of Crystallis before I spoke up are my father and the moogle who followed my mother's girlfriend. The first only knows what she's told him because he was at home the entire time.
I'm honestly surprised that silly moogle hasn't spoken up already, actually.
no subject
Maybe they're feeling shy? [That was... a Makoto joke. She tries but bless this girl is she ever bad at it...]
I'm sure that the moogle will speak up when they feel like it. Perhaps the fact that they haven't could imply that we're following a stray lead?
But I am inclined to believe there is a connection to what my friend and you are saying.
no subject
Honestly I have no idea with her. Bit of an oddball, but then, we all were.
But I'm glad. Beats that one lady who thinks we're crazy for even considering it.
no subject
Sometimes the people that appear the most normal have the most to hide.
And, speaking of hiding:
[She pauses a moment to make sure this is still on private.]
Aggressive dismissal of a report without any word of investigation is incredibly suspicious.
What are they hiding?
no subject
Somehow I doubt I’ll be able to pull off the stunt I did the last time a group did this where I ended up, since my stance on this is public for all to see, but I’m curious too.
no subject
[She's curious but there is some protection in plausible deniability. If nothing else that comment struck her as something a Phantom Thief would drop.]
I don't know if I would suggest doing anything too rebellious.
Not yet, at least.
One statement of denial does not mean there is a conspiracy. Caution, perhaps, but there are still avenues that are available that can be done without being seditious.
no subject
[Chances are, his secrets will be revealed again. Until then, he'll keep them close to his chest for now.]
Sorry. Guess it's just my nature to be rebellious.
Maybe not, but it does come from somewhere. Where that place is, only they and shadows know.
[And it drives him crazy that he can't sense it here. Again. Ugh.]
no subject
You are probably right. I'm just not ready to think that much ill of people.
But trust me, if I find out that they are are keeping secrets that endangers us all, I will be there to make them pay.
no subject
I don't want to, either... but unfortunately, I've come to expect it. Thanks to where I was first summoned from.
Keep your optimism. You and those around you'll need it.
no subject
I'll admit sometimes it is hard.
[She pauses as she considers what he just said. While she knows that he has already done more than enough to reveal what he has. She can't help but wonder if she should ask what he meant. In the end, she decides its better to keep that rock unturned.]
For what its worth, I hope you find what you lost.
It sounds like you deserve it.
[As she sends that messages her eyes scans her iMog if he mentions anything else, fully expecting that to be the end.]
no subject
It usually is, though it helps knowing you aren't alone, right?
And... thanks.
