[ It'd kinda taken a backseat with everything else going on, but there's still something that's been bothering her a bit. She could just dismiss it as a kid making things up but... after everything she's experienced here, and back home, she's got a gut feeling there's more to it.
She can't search the internet like she used to but... well that doesn't mean crowdsourcing is off the table. ]
Hey, did anybody else run into a weird girl on their first day here? A little kid, blonde hair.
Also does anybody know what the name of this "linkshell" means? Kali Shashidhwaja. She mentioned that, along with telling me that "she" would try to hurt me if I ever lost it and was alone.
[ As a final note, she added the two pictures the girl had doodled, described as follows: " There was a crude drawing of a feminine figure with purple eyes standing over what appeared to be the corpses of a human and a moogle, looking a bit eerily similar to Futaba and her moogle even though the drawing was crude. " Along with "This time the figures looking like Futaba and her moogle were standing alive, and were surrounded by other figures. They faced toward the purple-eyed figure, who seemed to be fleeing."
And now, to see what information others might have... ]

I see.
This could perhaps have something to do with the threat that the moogle on the airship.
Did "she" provide any information other than the warning?
no subject
[ With the "disappeared" part quite possibly being literal??? ]
no subject
[She wants to write out her next response but second-guesses it. No reason to air out the rest of this conversation in chat.]
I'd like to talk.
In person.
Would that be alright?
no subject
Sure. I'm in the living room.
--> log
[Makoto was NOT going to let that happen.]
Futaba, I-- [She pauses. Was she acting on impulse again? The pictures upset her, she knew, but she also didn't want to overreact and cause her to feel estranged.]
[Still, there is no other thing to be said except:] I'm troubled.
no subject
Yeah, I... [ How does she put this into words. ] .... It kinda creeped me out too.
[ Not overly so, not with everything else that had been going on that day. But a lot moreso in hindsight. At the same time though, the way that the little girl had phrased it, she didn't think it was a personal threat towards Futaba herself, but more of a general warning. Besides, she had others with her. Others she trusted. So maybe... all that was why she wasn't as nervous as she could be.
Still creepy though. ]

I don't want to... make this situation any more uncomfortable, but... it would make me more comfortable if we shared the dual bedroom for a little while.
I think it might also be a good idea to keep your iMog slate with you whenever you go outside.
Just... to be safe.

She does kind of wish Makoto wouldn't worry quite so much though? It's kind of leaving her with a sinking feeling in her stomach, like maybe she should be a bit more upset about it. And her fears are not something she really wants to feed.
But in any case.... ]
I guess I wouldn't mind. It's... been really quiet.
no subject
[ Not until she has cracked it open like an egg. ]

[She imagined that's what Yusuke and Morgana would say. In the end, she was still trying to take on too much on her own.]
...I really wish you would take this situation more seriously.
[But she smiles at Futaba regardless.] But I'm expecting good things. Have you found anything interesting about the device so far?
no subject
Not much yet, unfortunately. The tech's really different from back home. It'll probably take me some time to break through.
[ She has no doubt she will eventually though. It's just a matter of time. ]
no subject
Maybe its some sort of magic power source and security systems?
[That was the best that she could think of. Technology is VERY MUCH out of her wheelhouse.]
no subject
[ She actually puts her iMog Slate down for a moment, turning to face Makoto directly, resting her arms on the back of the chair. ]
There was a book about the tech here at the Curti Center. Apparently a lot of it is based on this idea of "magitek," which is basically pushing magic and technology together.
Also they don't have computers.
[ Or internet. She's dying. ]
no subject
Yeah. I heard that the ship that brought us here was one of the devices they use with magitek. I noticed that our appliances had a similar structure as well.
...
Are you going to be alright?
[She... has concerns.]
no subject
[ That... actually struck a point. The only thing that's been keeping her sane and relatively stable has been working on the iMog Slate. Her gaze darts over the room quickly to check for signs of Minako before she sags. ]
We can't use our Personas here. And... my hacking can only go so far like this.
[ Like, internet withdrawal aside, she's uh. Feeling a little lost at the moment. She knows all of the members of the Phantom Thieves have their own strengths (even if she teases some of them about it) but her strengths are feeling kind of... declawed. ]
no subject
[Fortunately for them both, Makoto had already started working on that. Since coming here she had met several people that were disappointed with their inability to do things. One was a rather detestable blue-robed fellow, while another was a witch that was having difficulty to fly. Even Makoto herself was feeling a bit disarmed without the ability to summon Johana. With a small movement she reached into her bag and pulled out a pamphlet.]
I have been thinking about that myself. The world of Vaikuntha relies on its own rules and seems to have the ability to enforce those rules on us. If we're going to be able to explore beyond the Curti Center, we are going to have to be able to defend ourselves. Fortunately, this world seems to have ways of empowering adventurers through something they call 'asterisks.'
[She flips the pamphlet over and slides it towards Futaba.] Futaba, have you seen the information on the Astrologean Job? It sounds like it would be right up your alley.
no subject
What's with all the robes?
[ That's it, that's her first impression. ]
no subject
[Johanna give her patience, this girl...]
You don't have to wear the robes. This won't be like our outfits.
[THANK GOODNESS.]
no subject
Ah well.
Okay actually... taking this a bit more seriously. And starting to skim through the offered information. ]
You use cards to fight?
[ Although hm... strengthening the abilities of your allies, and healing... It's a bit more hands-on than she's used to but she can sort of see where Makoto's going with this. ]
no subject
Mhm. And if you look at them, you can see that one is Tarukaja, Sukukaja, and Rakukaja. You can heal, too.
I think you can do it and would be a fabulous Astrologean. You've already showed your versatility online and you've come a long way with coming outside.
Just... think of this as... a bonus level.
[SHE'S TRYING??]
no subject
Yeah, something like that.
I guess I can probably look into it, at least.
[ She'll never be completely sure until she gives it a try, at least. ]
no subject
[She'll take this small victory.]
Mhm. There are other jobs you may want to consider. Feel free to borrow my pamphlet, if you like. I've made sure to note the ones that stood out for me.
I'm sure you'll pick something that interests you.
no subject
[ She'll probably do that. Someone else had already mentioned needing to fit in while they were here too. Adapting to this world's rules, since their own's were off the table.
It's not ideal, but she'll take it. ]
Thanks, Makoto.
no subject
No problem. And if you're ever having trouble and need somebody to talk to, do feel free to bring those worries to me or Ren.
We're all in this together, after all.
