i have a lot of questions and not a lot of answers and i don't even know where to start looking for them in this place so here it is
who is narayana?
has anyone ever fought a crystal zombie before?
has anyone ever seen crystal pillars destroy the world before?
who on this world responds to "your majesty"?
has anyone figured out why we're here yet and who are the gods of this world?
what happens to people when they die in this world?
i saw some stuff in the dreamwidth and i want answers. i think people who were in crytallis might know since the crazy lady called us "heroes of light."

[Sometimes it could be important to keep info to yourself, but... Well then again Roxas didn't know any of the circumstances behind any of this. Maybe they had a good reason.]
This whole thing is so messed up. Reminds me of some shit back in Ryslig. No one wanted to talk there either, but... I mean there were reasons for that. [Like malevolent gods.]
cw: dismemberment and experimentation mention
There wasn't much of an excuse not to in Crystallis. In Animus, however...
[...]
[It's a reflex that he reaches up to touch his right shoulder, to make sure his arm is still attached.]
...It was like night and day. No experiments. No one observing you 24/7. People who actually wanted to help not dying because they dared to stand up. Yet they kept quiet to their little group like there was. Whined like small children terrified of a sweater under their bed when it got remotely hard and they had to face reality.
Then yelled at those who actually wanted to help but remained in the dark like the rest of us. [He'll never understand them. Ever.]

There's the sound of clinking seashells as the younger boy shifts off his bed and over to Takeshi, wrapping his arms awkwardly around his much taller friend's upper half.]
I'm sorry you had to go through all that.
[And by "all that", he meant the things Takeshi mentioned like they were nothing, but Roxas could read between the lines.]
We can do our best here to get everything we need. Together.
[Awkward as this is, the nobody is trying his best, and his hope right now is that he's taken the correct action and won't be smacked for this or cause some sort of fight.]

He blinks down at the shorter blond, before resting a hand on his shoulder.]
Don't be. [It wasn't Roxas' fault. He shouldn't be sorry at all.] I am what I am because of it. Bad as it was, I wouldn't trade the good that came out of it for anything.
[Well, save one massive, massive thing. But he isn't going to drop that on his younger friend any time soon.]
Or what happened after I escaped. I mean, I have a family now. Somewhere in the sea of stars.
[They're out there somewhere. All save one beyond the Dream Width. The necklace hanging around his neck is a reminder of it. He finally returns the hug, nodding.]
You're right. We will.

Feeling the moment had probably passed, if it ever existed, the younger man withdrew a few steps.]
Do you really think they are? I mean... People we met in other worlds. Do you think they remember us and still think about us?
[He'd "reunited" someone from Ryslig who he'd met in passing and vaguely remembered, and met others from Ryslig as well, but the people he loved... love? Probably. The people he loved, who he hoped loved him, were nowhere to be seen. And given how they'd disappeared without a trace, or how he'd gotten himself killed without much warning, he wouldn't blame them if they didn't remember him. Still, he wished they would. More than anything he wished Snow and Serah would arrive and he'd have his family back. If only...
For now he's here, mostly alone, clinging to Takeshi and Terra, trying to fill the hole in his soul that longed for family. Every day he wondered if he was a burden to them both.]

[He only met the guy once, and if it wasn't that he actually remembered but someone told him, then his mother and Mary did.]
Reno remembered me, too.
[He points that out as well. It feels important to say, even if the second one doesn't hold as deep a meaning for. At least, didn't until recently.
Brothers, huh.]
