Hi...

I want to start by taking a moment to apologize. Normally, I'd make an effort to get to know everyone and I wanted to respond to more people on the network, but when we all arrived from the Dream Width, something pretty important to me didn't make it through. Biggs and Wedge managed to find it recently - thanks again by the way. Still, that doesn't excuse my behavior to some people so... I'm sorry about that.

[He nodded his head once and allowed for a beat of silence in which he rubbed the back of his head before recomposing himself]

Anyway, my name's Adrien and I'm from Paris, France on Earth. Until recently, I was homeschooled and I still have a lot to learn when it comes to socializing outside of a fundraiser or a show. Aside from that, I've been tutored in other subjects like Chinese, piano, and fencing, the last I've applied to my asterisk. If you guys ever need a Swordmaster or Ninja, I'm totally up for lending a hand.

Well, yeah. There'll be time to pick up a Paladin move or two once I've got the Magitek Armor up and running.

Well, go on, what's your favorite ninja trick? Can you do the whole illusion-clones-of-yourself technique?

Oh, I can't learn anything like that. Personally, I like the initial ability I got after getting the asterisk which is Parkour.

[Sorry to disappoint Red, but there is no clone abilities.]

Better'n me. Apparently, after they get the asterisk, Magitek Knights get really good at workin' with machine. But I already was. At least you got somethin' new.

Right. Tech Support was the ability, right? Actually, Parkour isn't too new to me, but having the skill means I don't miss so many jumps.

That's a good start, at least.

Y'had the chance to take Ninja into battle yet?

Not for a whole battle. Swordmaster is a little more efficient at ending fights quickly.

Oh, I know what'cha mean. I've got the Paladin asterisk but I'd rather end the battle quickly than spend the whole time on the defense.

[Plus, gotta rush that Mecha, right?]

Yeah. Though, did you try the Paladin during the Chocobo Eater invasion? I imagine it would've been helpful then.

Gettin' in close to that thing? No thanks-- It was all I could do to trip it up with lasers and fire bullets!

Probably the safer option. Chocobo Eaters really don't have the best breath.

Same. Two chocobos decided to help, but after the battle, one wanted to stick around.

What? The Chocobo Eater got the chocobo helping you?

Nah. But one'a my teammates was some kinda weird... bird... person. Apparently, to a Chocobo eater, that's close enough.

It didn't 'get' him, at least.

Okay, you know how people call me a dog person? Like that. But not. They look human but they've got feathers and kinda wing-ish things and talons and stuff.

How'd you do against the one you fought, by the way? Y'know, the Chocobo Eater?

It went pretty well. We were both Swordmasters at first though, but Mythra changed to a magic job that used status ailments which helped. Helps also that Swordmasters have abilities that can lower attack and defense.

Huh. Could'a probably used somethin' to make it weaker like that. Still, it was nice bein' able to pelt it full of bullets and lasers.

Yeah, keeping your distance from it was probably the better way to go.
