[ The screen blips on to Hunk, reclined across a couch. Balmogra the moogle's pom-pom occasionally drifts into the top of the frame, and Hunk's eyes keep glancing towards it. As he starts talking, he's entirely oblivious to the fact that his voice is high-pitched and squeaky. ]

Hey, so with other people asking about things like our stories, our worlds, and our jobs, I realized that we don't actually know a lot about what we can all do! Like... I learned that some people have never been grocery shopping before! Or some can't cook! Or some people don't know how technology here works. Since we're all stuck here, we might as well try to help each other out, right? So what are some things you know or want to know?

Me, I know about cooking and engineering and mechanics. But I don't know anything about magic. Or how to defend yourself from a monster that's up close and trying to eat you. Or how to use a giant fork in a fight? Or why they use forks here to begin with.

[ He pauses for a moment, looking almost uncomfortable, and then- ]

And if you're embarrassed to say something you can't do, you can always send it to me and I'll mention it for you!

[ Hopefully her voice still doesn't sound that way. It does make her pause a little though! But she's back to smiling again ... a little. Mentions of her brother and all. Right. Lucky. She's really not good about hiding her feelings expression wise. ]

M-mm. It's ... very lucky for me to have him here. We're both adjusting to everything. As I'm sure you and your roommates are, right?

[ Hunk knows full well that Euphy didn't say a darn thing about her brother. It gives him a moment of pause at the idea that this nice girl who was so vulnerable before could dance so easily around a question now. That moment, however, was easy enough to hide. ]

Yeah! My buddy Shiro and I worked together back home, and my other roommates... well I like them just fine.

[ Baiken is cool, but maybe a little much for Euphy. And Adrien? His world has superheroes, that'd probably blow her mind. And not in a good way. ]

What about your roommates?

[euphemia]

[ She just hopes Hunk can forgive her. It's not that she doesn't want to talk about her brother, but well. There's still a lot of uncertainty. About everything. It's nice that he at least seems to move on from it! It makes it easier to talk about other things like her roommates! ]

Oh. Well, I am rooming with both my brother and someone named Snow White. They're very ... they're very lovely. [ Not really, but she's going to be polite. ] It's a bit of an adjustment but I believe we will make it work. Perhaps you might show me how to cook for them sometime? I don't know anything about cooking.

[chefbayardee]

[ Man, Hunk sure noticed her pause before saying they were lovely. Who does that? Someone who's uncomfortable. Ask about the brother? Evasion. Ask about the roommates, which apparently includes the brother? Deflected. So awkward.

But a request for cooking lessons? Score. ]

I'd love to give you some lessons! Is there anything you're looking to make? For them... [ He shoots her a look, and he's smiling. ] Or for you, that is.

[euphemia]

Oh! Well, I was thinking ... something I can make my own housemates for dinner! It sounded like such a nice gesture. I'd love to be able to do something similar!

[ And probably epically fail at it but hey it's the thought that counts! ]

Well... [ Hunk furrows his brows and looks away in thought for a moment. ] Do they have any allergies? Or foods they just hate?

[ And then he starts smirking confidently. It's a departure from his goofier smiles, in fact. ] And you? Allergies, and, well... Have you ever used a knife? An oven? Have you ever even made ramen noodles?

[ He could definitely make this work, even if she was new to everything. Hopefully she wouldn't be. ]

[ She laughs. He's really into this! This was an excellent idea and now she's excited. ]

I don't think my brother has any allergies that I know of. As for my roommate, I'm not sure. [ A slight frown. ] I have a feeling he is very particular about what he eats. So I'd like to make something that's considered gourmet.

I've ... never used a knife. Or an oven. [ MORE frowning. Wow she sounds pathetic. ] Or ramen noodles....

[ Hunk is shocked, but he manages to bury that emotion deep down. She's too well-dressed to live in a cave, which means she might've been a little bit... sheltered. Ramen? Wow. He's actually frowning a bit. ]

It might be a while until you reach that point, Euphy. [ He winces, glancing away for a moment. ] Learning how to cook means you're gonna make a lot of mistakes.

[ But he doesn't let the stormclouds of reason stop him or an encouraging smile. ] Instead of starting with "gourmet," we'd probably start with "good," if you're okay with that?

[euphemia]

[ She really has no excuse, she thinks. But there simply was no time for learning this, especially when there was no need to. Not when she had her meals prepared for her. Still ... this was an opportunity to be like her brother—independent. ]

Not gourmet but ... 'good'. [ A thoughtful look. ] What do you think is a 'good' recipe to learn?

[chefbayardee]

[ He pauses for a moment, because he really has to think about this for a second. But when he does, he smiles. He's confident, even! ]

Maybe spaghetti. Pasta, tomato sauce, maybe throw in some chicken or ground beef, and throw some cheese on top. It's healthy, filling, and should be pretty easy to throw together.

[ And then he gives her a bit of a look. ] You've had spaghetti, right?

Spaghetti. Yes, Spaghetti! I would like to try it. It's a wonderful dish and I've always loved it myself! If you claim it's easy, I'm sure it's worth a try.

Do you think I can come by sometime and you show me?

[chefbayardee]

[ He raises an eyebrow at "if you claim it's easy." She really doesn't have any confidence in her cooking. ]

It'll all be fine! [ He shrugs, smiling at her. ] We'll have to pick out a day, but I'll make sure everything's ready to go. [ Here Euphy, have a thumbs-up. ]
