[ The screen blips on to Hunk, reclined across a couch. Balmogra the moogle's pom-pom occasionally drifts into the top of the frame, and Hunk's eyes keep glancing towards it. As he starts talking, he's entirely oblivious to the fact that his voice is high-pitched and squeaky. ]

Hey, so with other people asking about things like our stories, our worlds, and our jobs, I realized that we don't actually know a lot about what we can all do! Like... I learned that some people have never been grocery shopping before! Or some can't cook! Or some people don't know how technology here works. Since we're all stuck here, we might as well try to help each other out, right? So what are some things you know or want to know?

Me, I know about cooking and engineering and mechanics. But I don't know anything about magic. Or how to defend yourself from a monster that's up close and trying to eat you. Or how to use a giant fork in a fight? Or why they use forks here to begin with.

[ He pauses for a moment, looking almost uncomfortable, and then- ]

And if you're embarrassed to say something you can't do, you can always send it to me and I'll mention it for you!

[Give Okuyasu a few minutes to roll on the floor of the airship and almost die from laughter, this is a perfect joke. When he turns on his video, he's wiping the last of the tears from his eyes.]

[ Hunk looks confused as he begins to speak, but then he cracks a smile of his own as he registers Okuyasu's voice. ]

Do what with the video? Do you mean Balmogra's little puffball? -Wait, did you find some helium?

[ The chipmunk-muppet voice is still going strong. ]

The faces are easy- if you poke around in the keyboard then you can find some weird symbols, and you just make cute faces!

[ And then he makes a silly face that he knows isn't too cute. Thought that counts. ]

Hi Euphy! I'm glad you were able to figure that out so easily. [ He pauses for a moment, raising an eyebrow. Something's fishy here. ] I didn't know you had a brother!

Dinner went really well! A lot of hungry stomachs wandered by, too. [ And he's figured it out! He's solved the mystery. ]

Was your voice always so high-pitched?

I can't cook, but it's not something I've really needed either. Convenience stores and other people can always do it instead.

[He didn't eat much anyway.]

I don't have any useful skills to share, and I've never really felt a need to learn anything in particular I couldn't figure out.

[Though, maybe he could share his opinion on the questions asked?]

I assume the giant fork would be used similar to a trident, and most likely they use the fork to fit the theme. I mean, if I'm going to think of a vore mage, I would think of a fork as a staff.

[ Hunk finds his expression souring as this weird-haired guy just shoots down everything he mentioned. Get someone else to do your cooking and shopping? Fine. And if he doesn't have any skills, why isn't he trying to learn things?!

Hunk restrains an exasperated sigh as he moves on to the weaponry part of Hunk's questions. Use a fork like a trident? Like a pointy staff? It could work, but... Wait. ]

[ Hunk does a double-take at Yue's words. Sound like a bird? He cups his hands over his mouth for a moment, eyes wide. He's so caught up in paying attention to how he sounded that he doesn't notice Yue's own squeaky voice. ]

Wh-what do you mean, like a bird? What do bird voices sound like?

[She's having a concern...but moving on.]

I've already told a few people, but back home I'm an idol. Um...it's a little difficult to explain. I suppose you could say I'm a professional celebrity.

[She rubs her cheek a little. Saying it like that is a little embarrassing, so she continues.]

I have experience singing and dancing, and my producer—Ritsuko-san—has been promoting me as an actress lately. I've done other kinds of work as well. I hope I can put my skills to use here for everyone.

As for what I'd like to know, I suppose that's...hmm...maybe I'd like to learn how to solve a Rubik's cube? Ah, or it'd be nice if I could learn French. Wouldn't that be chic?

[ He's mousey? Nervous? He gasps slightly, unaware of how he was coming off, but he keeps his cool as Azusa talks about her. He doesn't want to get even mousier, after all! But he takes mental notes that she's an idol, a professional celebrity, a singer, dancer, actress... Clearly very talented!

But then she asks her questions and Hunk's eyes go wide, because... out of everything she could want to learn, that's what she asks for? ]

I can probably help you solve a Rubik's cube, if you can find one. [ He laughs, and now he's smiling again. That's such a simple thing! ] But I don't think anyone here knows French.

[ Hunk stifles a laugh at the squeaky sound of Baiken's voice, because he was notprepared for that. ]

Baiken, you have bigger problems- your voice is a bit out of its depth.

[ And then a giggle slips out, because man was that a pun. But he does make a mental note of the depth perception thing for later. ]

Any rate, I'm good with my hands - fightin' with them, that is. I'm rubbish with a blade. Could do some thaumaturgy as well, but that was about the extent of my magic. Hope to turn that around while we're here.

I'm bad with a blade. Really bad. I'm used to big guns, and just kind of throwing my weight around, instead of throwing punches. If I'm gonna be up close with monsters, I might want to know how to fight without a weapon.

From what I've been hearing, "Magic" is similar to my world's "Ether". You don't have anything like that? From what you described of your Lions, I would have thought many on your team would be strong Ether users.

[ Hunk looks absolutely baffled, but there's a twinkle in his eyes that shows he's interested in the idea of having some kind of innate magical power. Very interested.

The only person he knows that would count for sure would be Allura, but... maybe it's just because he and the other Paladins didn't know they could? ]

I SUPPOSE THE TRICK WITH MAGIC IS TO FOCUS. ENVISION THE BULLETS YOU WISH TO CREATE! THEY ARE BUT AN EXPRESSION OF YOUR TRUE ESSENCE. WHITE BULLETS ARE THE MOST COMMON, BUT IF YOU REALLY WANT TO JAPE YOUR FOES, THEN A CAREFUL COMBINATION OF WHITE AND BLUE, OR EVEN BLUE AND ORANGE SPELLS CAN CONFOUND THE MIND AND BODY ALIKE!!!

AT LEAST, THAT'S HOW IT WORKS WITH MONSTERS. HUMANS AR AN ENIGMA TO ME.

I imagine you could use a fork like a spear. That advice about training with staves could be pretty useful. I need more practice myself if you need someone to spar with. Should be easier than swords.

[ Magic is essentially the same thing as Ether, as far as she can tell. Or, at least, they function similarly. So to come from a place where that sort of thing isn't prevalent... tell her more, Hunk, she's intrigued.

...And why do you sound like that? Is there something wrong with your communicator?

Maybe, but there'd be a problem with sending and receiving messages, because you sound weird.

[ But he lets himself laugh for another moment, remembering everything he'd heard from Fei. Elly could shoot fireballs and stuff. ]

We didn't have anything like magic or ether where I came from. [ He looks forlorn for a moment, but bounces right back into a smile. ] Fei told me a little about ether, by the way.

The closest thing we had were some ancient alien spaceships that had minds of their own, were almost indestructible, and could combine.

[ He really hoped Fei told her something about his world, otherwise she might get really confused. ]
