[ The screen blips on to Hunk, reclined across a couch. Balmogra the moogle's pom-pom occasionally drifts into the top of the frame, and Hunk's eyes keep glancing towards it. As he starts talking, he's entirely oblivious to the fact that his voice is high-pitched and squeaky. ]

Hey, so with other people asking about things like our stories, our worlds, and our jobs, I realized that we don't actually know a lot about what we can all do! Like... I learned that some people have never been grocery shopping before! Or some can't cook! Or some people don't know how technology here works. Since we're all stuck here, we might as well try to help each other out, right? So what are some things you know or want to know?

Me, I know about cooking and engineering and mechanics. But I don't know anything about magic. Or how to defend yourself from a monster that's up close and trying to eat you. Or how to use a giant fork in a fight? Or why they use forks here to begin with.

[ He pauses for a moment, looking almost uncomfortable, and then- ]

And if you're embarrassed to say something you can't do, you can always send it to me and I'll mention it for you!

( This is super open and threadjacking is possible and totally okay! )

[ Hunk stifles a laugh at the squeaky sound of Baiken's voice, because he was notprepared for that. ]

Baiken, you have bigger problems- your voice is a bit out of its depth.

[ And then a giggle slips out, because man was that a pun. But he does make a mental note of the depth perception thing for later. ]

[ Hunk pauses at her silence, and his eyes go wide with fear and concern. ]

No, seriously! Say something again, your voice sounded funny for some reason.

[ And he, of course, still sounded kind of like a muppet. ]

Hehe, sorry... At least we can both laugh at each other.

[ He starts to sheepishly rub at his neck, and the chuckle prolongs itself for a moment longer. ]

But you mentioned depth perception, right? What do you want to work on?

I'm pretty sure I've compensated as much as one can at this point. I've had my whole life, almost, to get used to it.

So what do you want to do about it?

[ He smiles, undaunted by the idea that she had to have lost that eye at some point. ]

We could have you work on your aim, like throwing a ball at a target. [ He wants to mention firing a gun, but that might be a bit much starting out. ]

Or do you want to try to fix the depth perception altogether? [ Shiro had a prosthetic arm, so Hunk had definitely contemplated the possibility of a prosthetic eye, fueled by magitek... But he didn't know enough to be sure. ]

Maybe I gave the wrong impression, considering what you'd originally asked but... -A sigh, and a shrug.-

I'm not actually interested in fixing it. I was stating it as something that's just true about me.

Oh... [ Hunk looks absolutely devastated at the declaration. ]

I guess I got into problem-solving mode, and... [ He looks away, and it's pretty obvious he feels bad. ]

Don't look like a kicked puppy and consider this a lesson. People like me don't like being seen as problems that need to be solved.

... I'm not offended, by the way. I've dealt with worse from far less well-meaning folks. -Chin up, Hunk. It was just a mistake.-

Y-yeah, I can imagine.

[ If Hunk gets annoyed with mean jokes from Coran, he can only imagine the stuff Baiken's had to deal with. Noted. ]

But if you ever do want help with anything, like beating a monster or something, you can ask. We are roommmates.

[ And he's smiling just a bit again. Can't stop, won't stop. ]
