Well, that was an interesting letter to receive in the mail. Anyone else get one of these [He holds up that letter] or test them for prints ye-
[He starts to ask, before letting out a surprised "whoa!" and the muted sound of glass shattering followed by a rush of wind is carried through as the picture slightly distorts. It corrects itself just in time to see pale blue and white lights to his left as a pillow sails right where his head had been. He frowns at someone off-screen.]
Ivory, I said time out. [A moogle huffs in the background, but he sees that smirk. Why does he get the feeling she had been waiting for an excuse to throw small pillows at him for a while?] Anyway,
I can't believe someone went with the newspaper and magazine clipping cliche. It's such an old one.
[And then, privately to Takashi Shirogane.]
Hey, remember what I said on my birthday? You know, about yeeting swords?

It isn't quite, which is the problem. The form the King's, shall we say approach took changed every year. It was a sickness that brought back its victims as thralls, it summoned a giant fiend made of confectionery...the possibilities seem endless. What is sure is he and his followers will stop at nothing until he walks among us once more.
video;
Well, considering they're leading us to a doll museum...
[Pls no giant moogle out of doll parts that's just creepy.]

[ Ashelia sits at a stool. After a moment, a glass of red wine is pushed in front of her. She brings the glass to her kips, but stops. ]
...the Festival of Light. You attended, yes?
video;
[He's putting on something that looks oddly like a flight jacket as he says it, and grabbing his keys.]
I was there, yeah. The dinner, too. [Well, may as well introduce himself. (He got used to people recognizing him from the Gauntlet, where he got second place. Shh.)] Noctis Lucis Caelum. I'm guessing you arrived not long before then?
video;
I ask about the festival because...there were dolls. Dolls that looked like people I knew. People I met on Crystallis, people I'd known in Ivalice. Perhaps it's a coincidence, but so little has ever turned out to be just that.
video;
I remember them. Didn't exactly stick around after I saw one that looked like someone from home.
[One he'd rather not name again, for his fiancee's sake.]
And considering the fact that it's right on the border of Sen Devadatta? I somehow doubt it is.
video;
That is, however, neither here nor there. [ Ashelia looks off-camera for a moment and nods. ] This was planned. Has been planned. For us. [ She gets up from her stool, finishing the last bit of wine. ] I'll meet you there. Don't be rash. Make no moves until we rendez-vous. I'm boarding now.
video;
[It is something they can kick themselves for later. There's the sound of a car door opening and closing as he sets the slate in a convenient little holster he had made for it in the Regalia.]
I'm waiting for two more, and I'll be there.
