It’s been a while since we all had that dinner to remember together, hasn't it? I’ve been thinking since then, and I’m sure you all have been as well. You’re a helpful lot like that. Here’s my question for you, then. Do you consider yourself to be a Hero of Light now? Do you feel any more heroic? Or maybe you were a hero back home? I guess I’m curious.

[And then there’s silence for a moment. Unfortunately for someone else, he starts speaking again.]

That reminds me. My roommate—her name is Mòrag. I fear she’s been a little lonely lately, and I hardly ever see her socializing. If you see her, won’t you try to befriend her? You have my gratitude in advance.

My answer would have to be... no, in that case. ( which is the general consensus around tokyo right now, as far as ren knew. ) The high praise isn't something I'm used to.

( gossip and opinion polls, sure— legends and prophecies? not so much. )

Unfortunately, it seems like a name we're stuck with.

If what I've learned is true, it's high praise indeed. These people may end up putting a lot of their faith in our baskets.

[He sighs, agreeing with Ren on that last part in silence.]

What are you going to do about it? Are you going to find a way to save this world?

I think that's hard to say without more information. Who knows what sorts of things we can do— it seems a lot of us have been displaced without abilities we're used to so... it really is a whole new ball game right now.

( but is that really an answer? ren doesn't exactly mean to be vague, but he's always found it helpful to work things out before making a move... )

If there's a way to help these people out though, I'd like to know more about it.

I suppose I'm one of the lucky ones, then, since I never had abilities to begin with.

[He's going to help himself to the assumption that this young man did. He doesn't think he'd have mentioned 'without abilities' if he weren't talking about himself.]

You're not really answering my questions, but I like that. You're pretty smart. You'd rather learn more than act foolishly.

Heh. I'm not so sure about that, interrogation can be a pretty useful skill sometimes.

Even people with the best intentions might get caught up in something without all the cards laid out. Sometimes working from the shadows isn't as shady as some people might believe.

It can be, but what people don't tell you can be even more useful.

[Like, the fact he's talking to...maybe a teenager or a young adult who casually throws out words like 'interrogation' and 'working in the shadows.' It starts to paint a picture, or, at the very least, a few questions.]

Is that what you do for a living? Work from the shadows? It sounds very mysterious.

I go to school.

I've also worked in a flower shop.
