The Disappearance of Azusa Miura: Network Post [Voice] (Fwd Dated to the 7th)
[The morning of July 7th, everyoneโs slates receive an audio message. At first, thereโs only static and the sound of someone tapping the screen as if theyโre trying to turn on video but are unable to. Thereโs a gentle sigh of frustration followed by a gasp as the owner realizes itโs on.]
Ah...! Hello? Hello? This is Azusa...thatโs to say, Iโm Azusa, um...I donโt know how long I have, ever since I dropped this in the water on the way over.
[The voice is a little hard to hear, but that should explain it: water damage.]
I havenโt seen anyone in a long time...I was trying to reunite a lost child with her mother, but we ended up finding her on an airship...and then her father was on a fishing boat...and Iโm not sure where I am anymore. Goodness, what am I going to do?
[She taps the screen again, trying to turn on video, but thereโs no luck here.]
Iโm not far from the beach, but...itโs too late at night for me to be watching for ships. And...thereโs really no one here, is there? What am I...
[And with one last, loud bust of static, the message ends.
Replies will come after sheโs been rescued and her slate has been repaired.]
[ooc; As a reminder, you do NOT need to reply to this. This post has all the clues, but other than that it's just for CR purposes! Replies will be screened until the event results are revealed on the 7th. The OOC post for this event is here.]

[Thanks to Monika's quick thinking, they're able to get an airship pilot headed out to the Dusty Sea. After all, who would leave someone stranded in such a strange, desolate, and dirty place?
It's only a small airship, but it's not long before they're on their way. And eventually, their pilot gives them the signal that they're five minutes out. There's no warning before the ship starts to descend, eventually crashing into the water like a seaplane. Turbulence from the trip turns into the unsteadiness of being at sea.
The pilot warns spotting anyone will be difficult, but ships do come this way sometimes, so someone being stranded out here is definitely possible...]

[ Finn wants to ask the pilot if anything could be seen from the air, but that was an obvious answer. He couldn't see anything out here, and they haven't even left the airship, yet.
He glances out of a few windows along the way to the landing bay. ]
If we can't see her, maybe we can do something for her to see us. Some sort of... flares or something? [ Maybe he could find some sort of explosives with his Chemist job? Probably not but maybe a flashbang? At least he's thinking... ]
((ooc: Thought I should mention that I found this because I'm a stalking stalker and never got a reply in my inbox from the ooc thread. Just saying in case others didn't get the notif either. Also thank you, RNG, for bringing Finn along!))

[ Castor was musing aloud as she looked out the window. ]
No luck raisin' her back on the iMog, huh?
Voice
voice;
Mm, I'm a little embarrassed...I was in such a hurry to say something that I fumbled over all my words. I'm sorry to have worried you.

[Still, being left in the Dusty Sea? Awful.]
I don't believe we've met before. I'm sorry to have this first impression on you, but thank you for reaching out. My name is Azusa.

[At least she was sweet and apologetic. He kinda liked that.]
Just try to ask people for help earlier in the future, ok?
no subject
[She might be pouting a little because he's absolutely right.]
I'm always ending up in the middle of messes, but I never realize they're a mess until it's too late, you know?

no subject
[But will it come to fruition? We'll see.]
Ah, but you know, the lost child...we were able to find her mother after all, so at least one good thing happened.

[His smile reflects that he... mostly is? Being happy about things like that is something normal humans do, right?]
I'm glad your struggle wasn't for nothing. Stay safe, okay?
Voice; backdated to hell~
[Guess who's panicking and shaking his slate as though that's going to do anything.
Guess who's about to run off to look in a completely wrong place.
He tried.]
It's always good to see you!!!
[She waves at the camera! Even though it's set to voice. #JustAzusaThings, like usual. Sure, it's a few hours later, but...]
I'm safe and sound. A few people were able to track me down. I'm so sorry for worrying you.
<3
[Getting lost would have been bad enough, but when you factor in monsters...]
But it sounds like you've had an eventful time, to say the least. Just where did you end up?
no subject
[Especially considering her next answer.]
I ended up on a boat, but they weren't too happy to have an extra passenger, so they left me on the beach in a very dusty sea.
no subject
...At any rate, I'm very relieved you didn't bite the dust.
[Couldn't resist.]

[She sighs, nodding in appreciation at such a fine joke.]
Yes, I'm glad I didn't have to spend any more time out there, but I'm afraid I'm going to have dust in my hair for weeks. I feel like I'm always finding more.
no subject
[Hair care is serious business.]
no subject
[She's not an unclean person! Really!]
I'd be fine with never heading back.
no subject
Maybe try combing it thoroughly once it's dry? There's also the option of vacuuming out the dust, but that can be tricky with long hair.
no subject
[She sounds a little disappointed, but she's given up.]
no subject
[Leaving a problem unsolved is kind of a bummer, but he's out of ideas.]
I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.
