[ The feed begins with a young girl with pink hair who appears to seated in a room of some sort. Doesn’t seem like any room, but yes. After a moment, she smiles once she realizes the video began. ]

Hello everyone.

I hope that for those of you who just arrived you're settling in and adapting to things comfortably enough. I hope the experience thus far has not been too traumatizing in any way. I know it's a lot to take in, but I assure you that for those of us here before, we're just as baffled as you are about ... well, everything.

[ There is a pause as she looks off, contemplative and worried. After a moment, her attention falls back to the camera. ]

What I've come to learn recently is that we all seem to be in this together. As in—ah. As in literally. [ Pause. How to talk about this? ] I haven't had a lot of time to think about it but, uhm. Does anyone else recall experiencing some kind of fight with an army of creatures that looked like ... [ her voice lowers as she looks off. ] people I recognized.

[ Frowning. Concerned. Deeply. Seeing that person in that memory was jarring. Yet within moments, she lifts her head to continue. ]

I haven't found any answers to explain what happened. Not yet. However, I figured I should ask here and see if anyone had any similar experiences? Maybe talk a bit about it to understand? It was the only thing I vividly remember [ —there was another, but. ] and I feel there was a reason behind seeing it. I'm not even sure if it was even real?

[ Brows furrowed and eyes downward, she takes a moment to collect her thoughts before lifting her head again with a smile renewed. Positive time! ]

Ah! Forgive me! I didn't introduce myself. For those of you new, my name is Euphemia! I'm a White Mage and Nurse at the Yun'Ashia hospital. I'm also going to be starting school very soon there, too. It’s been a goal of mine to go back and finish my studies! Being a student and getting to go to classes again—I’m excited! Is there anyone else going to school? Maybe we can be study friends! Perhaps we can be study buddies? I will admit that I sometimes need a little help here and there, so please, let me know if you're interested!

As for the rest of you, if you need me for any reason, just reach. Or visit the hospital! Or call! I can do either of those things. I'm here to help.

[ Her expression turns a bit soft as she stares intensely at the camera. Solemn. A pause. ]

I hope everyone stays well. And ... take care of yourself, okay? Wherever you are.

[ A smile, albeit lacking the same mirth as her earlier one. With that, the video feed ends. ]

I don't know. I mean...I knew I was about to die. I thought I was ready.

But maybe, deep down...

[It's horrible to think about. He shakes his head.]

We'll protect each other, okay? We can't become monsters if we don't give up.

You ... were about to die?

[ Staring. Unsure. ]

Tidus. Did, ah ... did you die before you arrived here? [ Did she ask him this yet? ]

It was more 'fading out of existence', but yeah.

[And that's when he remembers. Why does life have to suck sometimes?]

I'm healing up as fast as I can, but I want to see you soon. Are you coming to the tournament?

[euphemia]

[ It's enough to make her frown deepen just a tad. No answer, either. Life. It sure did have its punches. Thankfully, the subject change does make her lift her eyes. ]

Oh, Yes! Absolutely! [ excited!! ] I'm so excited! I'll be cheering you on, of course. But, ah ... are you alright? Maybe I should see you sooner than the tournament? You don't look well.

[He perks up a little.]

You mean as a nurse? I mean...I want to see you, but we're kind of far apart now, aren't we? I'm in Myste Aura, the team's getting ready to head out to Ka'Pandol.

Besides, I'm sure I can ask the team's medic if I need anything---just in case they want me ready to go in. I'm still backup, so it's not a big deal like if I was a starting player.

[ Deflates a little. She was hoping... ]

Oh, well that's fine If someone is there to see you, then I'm sure you're getting the care you need. [ No she wasn't going to use Tidus for practicing her skills. Maybe. She needs the experience! ]

It's nothing I couldn't fix by travel, but ... that doesn't explain why you seem so battered. What happened?

Uh, well, did you see the whole thing in Golsaucia? The gauntlet? Some of us left to look for PuPus instead, because we thought they could tell us more about why we're all here.

On the way, we meet a group called the Moogles of Light, and they challenged us to a fight. I...kinda got hit with a spell and ended up trying to fight my allies, so they had to knock me out of the way.

[He feels guilty about it, and that's obvious, but he tries to crack a grin at his misfortune.]

But we're all coming to town for the tour tomorrow, right? So I'll see you really soon anyway.

[euphemia]

[ She was watching. She was watching someone at least. Remembering who puts her at a little unease because now she's wondering about him. After a moment, she remembers hey she's talking. ]

I'm sorry you experienced that. Hopefully, it wasn't anything permanent? You seem to be recovering fairly slowly.

I can come to check on you! I mean, that is if you want me to.

I've probably just been too excited about the game to sleep much, honestly.

[Tidus no that is not something to brush off.]

But...yeah, I'd like that. Just let me know when you get here.

I can be found in the morning. I'll look for you!

I look forward to it. Should I meet you anywhere specific?
