Digging Continues (Open, threadjacking encouraged once again!)

[ VIP week at Sparks Golsaucia's still going on, true, but it involves a lot of loud noise and people and Futaba ain't here for that without the rest of her friends. So instead she's been working on something else. Something even the people who didn't join in can hopefully appreciate. ]

So. Got a few things for you all and a few questions in return, especially for the newbies.

First of all, I've got some notes for you all. Some of you might remember the post I made a couple months back. Been doing research since then, so I figured I'd follow up with my findings. The more this info is widely spread the better. Also if you've got anything to add from searches on your own, feel free to talk about it here or lemme know and I can add it. We may even want to have like... some kinda meeting to discuss this stuff?

I'm not organizing it though.

Unfortunately this place doesn't have the internet, so I can't just make a website for these notes. Pretty much all I can do is make my files available for download as of right now, so I'll have to post an updated version periodically. Sucks but there's nothing I can do yet.

On that note, one of the big questions last time was about a strange little girl with blond hair who called herself Ashelia. She only turned up right after the new arrivals, and only spoke to a few people before disappearing again. Anybody happen to see her this time around? Looking at newbies especially for this one.

Also a Moogle that shouted some kind of doomsday prophecies about a "she," I guess.

[ She'll ask more questions if anybody actually happens to volunteer information. No point typing a lot up front if it turns out she wasn't even here.

And... as for the last thing. And the thing she's especially glad she's using text for. ]

Also... back on Earth, a lot of countries around the world happen to celebrate Father's Day on the third Sunday of June (sixth month). Which is... this one, I guess?

Nothing within the memories reflected anything from your own reality? People that shouldn't be there.

There was my own memory that I got stuck in. But besides that... I can't think of anything. Though I'm not entirely sure I'm following correctly.

I could try poking Hunk later, if he feels up to it?

Yes, you should.

But to explain, none of the memories I entered reflected parts of home. I was always changed to fit the memory. Hunk saw two people from our universe in one memory. People that shouldn't have been in a memory that didn't belong to us.

Gotcha. Yeah I didn't run into anything like that. The only thing anywhere close to that description....

[ And funnily enough, they're back to her own intel. ]

It was a memory of someone from Crystallis. Won't say anything more. That's their business to tell too. But well... I saw something there that shouldn't be there. Well, I guess I can't say "shouldn't" because it was a natural phenomenon, but still pretty unique and not something I'd have expected to find on Crystallis.

Basically on my own world, there's a sort of other reality we call the Metaverse. Honestly it's kind of more like another layer on top of our own, but it's heavily affected by human cognition. And there's these things there called Shadows. A lot of them are more like monsters, but sometimes a different kind of Shadow can manifest there.

This is getting into Jungian psychology, but Shadows that are tied to specific people represent the parts of themselves that they deny or want hidden from others, sometimes even from themselves. And given the kind of stuff people like to hide, that means Shadows can be pretty nasty pieces of work. Everyone has a Shadow, but it takes... a lot, to get one to manifest in the Metaverse.

[ Certainly they were never really nice to deal with. Even the more benevolent examples. ]

Anyway, that's what I saw, and I confirmed it with them afterwards. Crystallis had Shadows. I don't know if there's an actual connection to my world, or if they're just running off the same theory. Even then, I have no idea what this could mean for Vaikuntha, if anything. But it could mean a few leads, if it does end up panning out.
