Hey, you'll never know 'til you try. Do you do any land sports?

Nothing formal. I played a lot with a ball, growing up -- and the games were intense, but this was a bunch of kids making shit up as they went.

Then, I did some with a handheld racket and a ball. It was complicated.

Elves liked it.

Hey, that's pretty good for a foundation! So you should know a bit about how to tackle, how to shoot...all you really need to do is learn the rules and get comfortable in the water.

But I'd love to see that other sport in action.

Sounds like it. The swimming is going to be the hardest part.

Sure! The north beach is usually pretty quiet that kind of day. I need to be on the team for a while longer before I'll be allowed to rent the stadium.

Wait you get to rent a whole fucking stadium?

They've gotta let the teams practice in the actual stadium sometime, there's only one in the whole world. Shoreline blitz and ocean blitz are great and all, but you've gotta really get in the sphere pool to know what you're getting into.

Once I work my way up the ranks again I'm sure I'll manage.

Yeah, I don't think anything compares to swimming in a floating sphere of water.

Seems cool as fuck, though.

Yeah! Starting forward of the Zanarkand Abes. I have to prove myself again, but I'm not too worried about it. An offworlder with strange new moves is a good story for the papers, y'know?

And maybe you know some tricks from your games that'll give you your own style, something they've never seen before.

I might have a trick or two up my sleeve. I've been in a few scraps, too. I bet I could put that to use.

Yup! There's a beach across from a drink stand that I really like for practice. Nice and smooth, usually quiet around sunrise.
