Alright, so, I'm following up on the case of the suicidal researcher. He's been stopped, but he's also been very hesitant to be all that talkative about what got him to that point, so the job's not done.

He asked for me to find out the name of his late pet and to find his old study partner. Something about how we would know them, since they hang around the Curti Center.

This has been proven to be more of a pain in the ass than I previously would have thought.

He's a resident at the University of Arito. Trying to get veterinary records is a dead end- on Vaikuntha, apparently, you just have a white mage throw down a spell and the problem is usually fixed.

Let me just say that I hate that I live in a world without preventative medicine for one thing.

Anyway, my next move is to ask around the university. Try to get some of his records to see what classes he might have taken, before asking around those areas to see if they recognize the man and who he might have been associated with.

How many of you know what's going on? Boss told me... some stuff, last night. And as crazy as it is to think about, I believe him. He's not the most honest person around, but he's not the prankster type, you know?

If what he's saying is true and the world's gonna end, I think we gotta do somethin' about it. There's something only we can do, right? According to him, a lotta shit goes bad because Mognet's not working up to snuff. I think maybe this is something we can help out with. We need to help out at Mognet. There's some bad people spreadin' lies about the offworlders, too- maybe we can put a stop to that. Vaikuntha's our home, and I'm not gonna just sit back and watch it all go to hell. Who's with me?
