Text - April 9th - Shortly after the sky changes colour

[Any attempts that Selphie made to send a video or voice message out to her fellow heroes were met with error messages. Given the current state of affairs throughout the Curti Centre and what's she's gathering to be other places, she's not really surprised.

However, as one of the resident rays of sunshine, she has to try and say something. She's not really leader material but maybe, just maybe she can rally the troops a bit?]

Hey everyone!

It looks like things are coming down to the wire, aren't they? I bet that a lot of people are angry with the heroes and we can't really blame them for that, can we? It's gonna be hard as heck to not respond in kind, but we all need to set an example and take the higher road.

This is going to be difficult, but if we all come and work together there's nothing that we can't do. I'm sure that a lot of people have faced down something equal or worse than this and you're still here after all of it. Take that as proof that you're a survivor and that you can get through anything.

I know that the feelings of doom and gloom are super thick right now, but we have to rise above this. Let's all come together as a united force of good and show Vaikuntha what we can do. I'm not giving up and neither should you!

It won't be easy, but we have to believe in ourselves and show those who are losing hope that this fight is far from over.

Don't give up.

[He sends the reply in private because admitting weakness in public... doesn't feel all that great. But he still wants to say something.]

Thanks, Selphie

Not gonna lie, i'm kinda freaking out, but I feel a bit better now

[Just trying not to hyperventilate from the pressure.]

I'm okay, it's nothing

Just getting butterflies in my stomach before the big mission you know?

Although they feel more like dragons at the moment

I've gone on expeditions here but I don't know if I'd call them missions

I was just getting used to monsters and magic and all that and now the world is ending? Yikes.
whirluendo_of_puns: ([Uendo] huh. okay.)

These are the darkest days we're likely to ever see, and there's nothing funny about that. I've made my peace, and come victory or oblivion, we're going to go out with a bang, if I have anything to say about it!

In the end, no matter the grand speech, words won't keep people from dying.

You should go ask Megatron how to write a speech about the aftermath of death. I'm sure he's quite the expert.

You want to be able to give a good speech to people in the time of their grief, right? He knows all about death and giving speeches.
