Admittedly, this is...very unlike me, but I'm going along with this before the excitement wears off. It took far longer than I thought to put together my asterisk, but I finally have something both complete and a bit more towards my style. That much isn't so out of the ordinary, but...oh, I'll just get to it. Lucian?
(There's a brief moment of discussion with her moogle before Matilda finally goes and dabbles with her iMog. The flash of a job change is nothing unusual by any means, nor is the shift in attire, but a full on shift from her normal fox appearance to that of a dragon? Not a whole lot bigger than she normally is, at least, but that's definitely a dragon there. One with scales that look as if you're looking up at space itself, seeing the stars and swirls of a blue nebula. The dragon rubs her head, the voice coming from her very much Tilly's.)
Once I learned I could call upon my draconic power in times of emergency, I knew I wouldn't be able to keep this a secret for long. And...while this is liberating, I suppose it's also a heads up to not be alarmed if you see me like this elsewhere? It may not be the greatest to go about towns in, now that I think about it...
...A-anyway, yes. This much is part of the asterisk and I'm quite happy with it. I thought I'd share that with everyone else...
(A smile. See? Nothing to worry about at all, promise! God, she's being so awkward right now, she's just...gonna end this before it gets agonizing.)

Thanks, Corrin. I'm...still anxious from outing myself like this, but it's comfortable. I've spent a long time keeping it hidden, so I think the change in scenery should have a matching change of pace.
Still, I don't think making a dragon form part of the asterisk is too much to deal with...is it?
(Asks the natural dragon.)
And if it is a problem for someone, that's on them, not you. They're not worth your time.
[She leans forward with a small grin, interested.] But maybe it would help if there was another dragon lounging around too? Then you wouldn't feel so out of place!
Would the asterisk allow me more regular access to my Water Dragon form? I used to be able to use it more regularly, outside of battle, and I must confess I miss being able to do so. I'd be exceptionally interested in apprenticing to you if that was the case!
(She taps a claw against her chin in thought.)
In that case, I...don't think it'd be a problem. you stay as a dragon when you have this asterisk equipped, but I don't think you have to be the specific kind of dragon I am? At least in appearance.
I should warn you that it's more support-oriented than anything else.
A-Anyway, if I can keep my own dragon form, then I am definitely in. I don't mind support at all, actually. I've found it pays to have a diverse skill-set. So, yeah, when you're ready, count me in for this, Teach! [She giggles.]
In that case, it wouldn't be any good to discuss this over the slates. Can you come over to the Curti Center? I'm in room B-08. I can fill you in on what it can do and how magic works from my world. The latter isn't necessary, but it might help.

[He gestures to the screen.]
Why would you not wanna be a big, awesome, starry-winged dragon??

There's a threat of a giant dragon that's going to kill us all in the next few days. The times that you would not be in your mecha would be the same times she wouldn't be in dragon form.
So, while in transit, it's a terrible idea because everyone's got guns or whatever trained and ready in case Bahamut comes early. While walking on the street, it just wouldn't be practical because she's kind of big like that and it would be rude to other pedestrians, and we're adding that they might freak out because dragon.
So, the two places that she could feasibly get away with it when not out and fighting is whenever it's dark, or whenever it's obvious that she's not a threat.
And she might not be able to fit in theater seats or grocery stores.

You'd think she'd leap on the chance to stretch those wings otherwise, though! I know I would.

(Prejudice is a bitch like that, but she'd rather not delve into the subject too deeply right now.)
Things are very different here, so I can be more public with it. I missed having the option...and...hopefully that's not a problem for you, Red.
(She asks in earnest, sheepishly scratching her cheek.)
no subject
Nah. We've all got secrets under our fur. I'd just think you'd wanna be out and about flyin' every chance you got.

Honestly, I would've made this sooner if I had an idea of what I wanted it to be. Getting access to my draconic form was a very recent decision, as was gearing it away from an explosive kind of mage like Kuja.

[He was alright, honestly, but not exactly what you'd call a life goal. Too much pomp and strut, not enough...
...pants.]
But why would'ja end up lookin' like you do right now? Wouldn't you wanna look human, especially in a place like this? I got enough stares in my first few months that it was startin' to get to me.

(She's underselling Samiah here, but her and the others being fabled heroes is another topic entirely.)
It's the principle, you understand.

[...And somehow, he forgot.]
So I guess that's a good reason.

There's less necessity for it here, which helps. Maybe once all of this business with Bahamut is dealt with, I won't have to worry so much about worrying others.
Besides...I like your face. It's nothing you should need to hide.

Kinda makes me wish I wore a mask to games, though. That'd have looked cool!
no subject
My personal opinion, however? The mask might make you a dork. A cute dork, but a dork.
[Here, Tilly, have a gushing teenager you've never met or spoken to before just gushing at you.]
How did you learn about it, if you don't mind me asking?
Oh, this? It's part of the asterisk I've been working on. I wanted something closer to what I can do back home, but once I realized I could implement my true form into it, I dove right into it.
And honestly? It's so comfortable being like this again.
