Uh... So apparently I left? Or, disappeared? Something, but it wasn't entirely voluntary. Anyway, I think I went home - no, I'm positive I was home. Gosh, it felt like I was there for so long, but not that long... it was only a week here.

Er, hello again! After that brief vanishing act... But I think I need another day before I get back to work.

There was so much stuff going on at home, it might be my own fault.

Aside from that, there was a big showdown between the city superheroes and Papillon and his supervillain army. I think it came out to a draw, but Paris was in turmoil.

Home to a war. Sounds like a picnic. But if I recall correctly, wasn't Papillon only able to create one supervillain at a time?

He was, but it seemed like he got a power boost somehow. He released butterflies everywhere and almost akumatized all my friends at school.

I see. I hope they work out the source of that boost. Or, perhaps it's time for the heroes themselves to find newfound power.

It's funny like that, power. Tends to fight to balance itself, but it's admirable that they still managed a draw even despite the heavy advantage!

Yeah. It was five against a whole super army... It's safe to say it was pretty cool thanks to Ladybug fixing everything later; otherwise, I don't know how I'd feel leaving behind a Paris that still needs to be put back together.

That the heroes need to put back together, you mean.

[A pause.]

I ought to tell you the stories of the time I spent time as a Star force Brave.

Well, yeah, of course, but Ladybug's abilities can literally repair anything damaged in an akuma attack. I guess I should've explained that first.

[He perks up on his end]

Star force Brave?

[Time for a more casual approach.]

I'd had a stint in a world that needed heroes. The second time I'd been there, I was with my new friends. We became Star Force Braves. I was Serenade.

My skeletal dragon buddy could turn into a real dragon. He was thrilled. But it was nice, the superhero life. What sort of powers did you have?

Wooow, that's so cool!

[And becoming a real dragon? Even cooler!]

Ehe, I wish sometimes. Being here is as close to superhero as I'll get. I've been mixed up in akuma attacks before though.

[Drat it. Well, maybe she was wrong.]

Ah-hah... well, now I wonder what you might call yourself. I was quite happy with Star Force Serenade, myself.

Any poses struck, one-liners? I know I did both.

I guess it would depend. Each superhero was animal-themed so having a fun name based around it would be a must, clever one-liners and good banter with allies... poses would likely depend on however you suit up and finish the fight...

So you've put a lot of thought into it.

Well... I was thinking... something like one of those magical girl transformation end poses. Seems more fitting.

Well sure. Why strike poses in your designer jeans when you can wear a crazy outfit and be somebody else for a while?

[Sephiroth doesn't often respond with a voice call, indicative perhaps of the respect he seems to have gained for the teen over the months so far.]

[Adrien's surprised to hear Sephiroth's voice, but at the same time, he can't help grinning. At least this is just voice.]

There was another expedition, this time after Alexander at the Great McGard Library.

[There is a small pause while Sephiroth recollects-]

It was a little frustrating to say the least; so much knowledge must be contained within that place, but it's likely you'd spend multiple lifetimes there and still never absorb all of it.

I missed that? Awe...!

[Go figure he misses out on experience points.]

Huh... That sounds way too big. Guess it makes sense to turn it into a Temple hiding place.

I've still not managed to pin down exactly how many days we trawled through that place.

[It's completely possible to imagine how Sephiroth slowly shakes his head. He's just about done with all this temple-chasing.]

Certainly won't be pleased if it ends up ultimately being for naught.

[To be honest, he's been itching to get to Cloud City for the last temple ever since Ursula had been so thoughtful to leave him with some information before her premature departure.

Though really, other than learning what exactly the great eidolons are, Sephiroth still feels like there's an obvious piece to this puzzle that he's either missing or had overlooked. It's hotly frustrating.]

I don't suppose you've any idea what exactly all of this temple-crawling is supposed to aid with?

... Experience, I guess? Besides awakening the Eidolons, it doesn't seem like we get that from much else here.

[Speaking as someone who fended off monsters on occasion in Arito. Also, he wasn't sure how well Sephiroth might take to him suddenly going on about role-playing games and the technical logic behind the temple-crawling.]

Disappointing. There had better be more to it than that.

[Since as it is, experience doesn't accumulate quickly enough for Sephiroth, at all. He'll never catch up, much less surpass anyone, at this rate.]
