Um, excuse me? I have a question I'm hoping someone can answer. When I first came here, I picked up this "Gourmand" job because, well... I like cooking. Cooking is one the things I can do really well and it works to my strengths!

But, well, I found out that it can do something else - I can copy monsters' abilities with them. After I eat them. Blegh...

Um, anyone know any decent monsters I could do this with?

...how do I get rid of this Calamity Knight thing?

A behemoth would be one of your better bets. Their meat can be used in many recipes. Hell, you can probably just skin the fur off and roast it with a good fire spell, and it'll be alright.

[There's a bit of a pause on his end, too.]

Hmm... sounds like I might have to see what I can find. I don't think that's something I can fight by myself, though.

Earlier last month, a lot of us went into the Dream Width. I... I joined in because I got curious about the Warlock job that everyone was wary about. I wanted to help everyone after I proved so useless earlier. We all came back from it after encountering this strange creature and... well... I ended up with this "Calamity Knight" job. The Warlock Job because this.

I didn't think it was what it was, but if it was given by a creature who wants everyone and everything dead, I don't want it!

I can help hunt it down for you. Used to do that a lot back on my home world.

[There's a very long pause as he listens to the rest of it.]

...what kind of creature? Because that might actually be another reason why we're all here.

But, the creature... I don't think I saw what it looked like, but I could certainly hear it. It was willing to let everything be destroyed, said that Bahamut was just part of a "True Calamity" that would take everything else...

That creature, though... Wasn't there some information regarding the other world some folks are from, Crystalis? Where they had to deal with that kind of threat?

There might be, but that was some time ago. Someone might have that information around.

I get it. I get wanting to do something to help, to be strong enough to really help people. I've been there, though at a older age than you are now. But this kind of job? May not be it. If it was forced upon you by something that only wants annihilation...I wouldn't keep it, if it was meant for such dark goals. I'd find another job that would better fit you.

And...I don't think he'll be as angry, if you just tell him that it was forced upon you. If you just leave it at that, he might only scold you a little bit.

Mm... you're right. I... I guess I was just hopeful I could make a good thing out of a bad situation.

[Uendo can't help but feel a twinge of guilt when he notices the post on Mognet. He... really should have checked on Sasami more often after what happened on Starlight eve. Between his own misery and trying to keep up with performances, he's hardly spared a thought to others...

Rather than respond to the post, he ducks into the kitchen for a bit while Sasami is no doubt busy talking with other people. After a while he's knocking on her door, holding a steaming cup with his other hand.]

Hey, Sasami-chan! Would you like some cocoa?

[Sasami blinked as she heard the knocking and sat aside her iMog once she saw it was Uendo.

Oh, yes please! That’ll be great!

Here you go! Careful, it's hot.

[He steps in and carefully hands her the cup. There's an oddly shaped pile of whipped cream on top the cocoa.]

...That was supposed to be a moogle, in case you were wondering. Drawing with whipped cream is harder than it looks.

Mmn, it’s okay. It can be tricky and besides - I can still make it out!

[She’s careful with the cup and she takes a quick sip of it, not caring for the cream on her nose.]

I'm glad you like it! I make a mean Kup'o-cocoa if I say so myself.

He lets her enjoy the cocoa in peace before moving on to his actual reason for being here.]

I'm not certain if it is. I just... I feel like I'm so helpless. And the more I try to fix it, the bigger the mistake I make
