[ The announcement comes early on the 21st, though not ungodly early. Regis himself seems composed, tranquil, though those who have had a chance to spend time with him can see he is pale and drawn, his eyes red-rimmed if dry. ]

Good morrow. It seem this night, the Dream Width has taken several people of note from us.

Amongst them are my son, Noctis Lucis Caelum, and his fiancée, Lunafreya Nox Fleuret. If you know them and either of them has made a commitment you are in need of assistance with, please let me know and arrangements will be made.

And, please. Think of them well.

[Cor wishes he could handle this better. Not for his own sake - never for his own sake - but for others. For the one brother he has left. (Though that nasty, tiny voice in the back of his head whispers about how he might be away from him a little too long, and oh no, what if--?)

But there's so much behind his own, tangled feelings, and he's never been as eloquent as Regis has been...]

And Regis, I am so sorry for failing you can't stop this pain alone will be home soon.

[ His chest is hurting, he can barely breathe, and Cor's words lit up on his iMog slate's screen make that worse, but not in a way that he wishes to make stop. Never that. But he is here. Very, very solidly here. ]

Not yours, either, my friend. That, we both do know.

[Part of him wants to argue otherwise, though. Part of him needs to argue about how this could've been his screw up. If he had Known Thing sooner, if he had tried something sooner... Even though the logical part of him does agree with Regis, the illogical - teenager, really - side of him still refuses to accept it wholly in the moment.

But the sounds of mewling reminds him of a slightly less important matter:]

There's little ones left behind. And they're probably hungry and wondering where their humans went. Best to prepare for their arrival too.
