[ The announcement comes early on the 21st, though not ungodly early. Regis himself seems composed, tranquil, though those who have had a chance to spend time with him can see he is pale and drawn, his eyes red-rimmed if dry. ]

Good morrow. It seem this night, the Dream Width has taken several people of note from us.

Amongst them are my son, Noctis Lucis Caelum, and his fiancée, Lunafreya Nox Fleuret. If you know them and either of them has made a commitment you are in need of assistance with, please let me know and arrangements will be made.

[Ignis is not most people. He's also been blind for a long while. Even if it is over the tablet, he can catch the soft shakiness transfer through Regis' voice.

And it makes Ignis have an even harder time keeping composed.]

[There's no point in hiding that he's not alright. But he's been trying to prepare himself for the moment Noctis will be gone on Eos too and... it's not working. Trying to convince yourself and experiencing it are two completely different things.]

[ Regis does, at least, appreciate that Ignis does not waste effort in the futile attempt to convince him that he is well now. His voice softens a little, but at least it does steady. (He does not know how he will face Cor, after what Cor has seen. Ignis knowing is... difficult enough.) ]

'tis possible that they may return to us here, though the chance is small. That any of us are here is a small enough chance already.

[There was no point in trying to lie when his voice is as steady as a tower of cards on a windy day. He needs a bit before he can find the strength to stand and say that he's 'alright' even when he's not.]

Indeed. I just hope... [he stops. No. Noct's not going to be alright. But-] ...I hope he's not alone.

He is not alone.

[ In a way. During his time in the Crystal, his friends are in his heart. At the end, his friends are by his side, lending him strength. (And so is Regis.)

Though Noctis needs to shoulder the burden alone, he never leaves those he loves behind, and neither do they leave him. ]
