I know this is not nearly as relevant to the current situation as other questions or comments, but I'm wondering... what's the strangest thing that has happened to you on Vaikuntha? Good, bad, or just plain weird.

Hello Angeal!

Um.. the cat town was really strange.. I couldn't hardly see anything! Everyone was all blurry and my nose was runny.. and .. I just.. well, anyway, I got a potion and it all worked out alright.

Oh! Wait, I take that back... a big ant-boy knows who I am and I got ran over by him at the Curti Center.. man, that was really strange. I haven't seen him in a minute though.. so uh .. gosh, that's.. so there's that.

No! Here's this too, Tidus and Selphie are two people that are totally from my world...... but the .. They're .. well, Selphie was here but she's gone, and she wasn't from my world! Neither is Tidus!

Yeah.. That. Well, also.. my best friend says he's not my best friend, that's strange.. but I support him, I mean, whatever he needs to be! Right?

Um, also Papy can pull spaghetti out of his pocket... cooked, perfect, unspoiled and everything. Man.. that's the best strange. Can you just imagine.. any time of the day you want spaghetti, you just reach right in there and BAM! Yeah, that's the best.

Yeah! So... yeah. Kay!

[ Angeal just... blinks at the tablet for a moment, with all that information. He knows exactly who this is, the memory of the boy impatient because hungry, and excited about Santa, and all of these things coming up before his eyes unbidden.

All of that is... a lot for anyone to deal with. And here Angeal was, feeling sorry for himself over one of his friends not even remembering who he was. ]

You've been through... quite a lot since you arrived, haven't you. And yes, all we can do is support them...

... I was going to offer you to come over to try what I've been cooking - not spaghetti - but that won't be a very good idea if you're allergic to cats. Hmm. Do you have a favorite place to window-shop food? My treat.

Awww-- really?! I think it was more of the fact there was like.. a hundred and three cats in like a space of three feet around me which was why I was a mess. I don't do too bad around like .. small amounts. Honestly.

Probably the whole 'getting brainwashed and turned into a cutesy moogle warrior' thing. But everything's pretty weird when you stop to think about it.

Well basically we fought some moogle warriors. They made me their servant and the group had to kick my butt to keep things under control.

That sounds like you did not have a very great time, for all the cheer. Did you set out *to* fight those moogle warriors?

They challenged us first! They got out unharmed, and we learned some stuff. It was just weird.

But I've had pretty bad luck on our missions in general.

I see. I do hope that luck turns, since it seems like we will need all that we can, collectively, put forth.

We need more than luck. Willpower, a plan, and to stick together. Which I know is harder than it sounds.

It is harder than it sounds, but knowing it's what it takes is a good beginning. Are you aware of anyone coming up with, at least, a plan, since got the outline of what needs to be done?

I know Futaba helps us gather all the intel we grab across the world...and Princess Ashelia seems to have some idea of what she's doing. There are others, I just can't think of them right now. Leading's not really my thing---at least, not this kind.

That... sounds like a Sephiroth I used to know. Back on Gaia.

It's sort of sounds like what he became after... after Nibelheim. I doubt he can do the same damage here. Either way, it doesn't sound like he'll be too happy to see Shinra.

No. Not happy.

And what kind of damage he can do will really depend on what he decides he wants to happen. We're not what we were, but asterisks mean we can still become more than we are right now.

[ Angeal wanted to say so much. That it wasn't fair. That he wanted his friend back. That it couldn't be hopeless, it just couldn't. That this was all wrong.

But none of these things were anything that Reno could help with. Or make a difference with. And Angeal knew so much better than to let his own outbursts freely out. ]

[Reno sighed heavily, feeling it too -- that there was very little he could do. He hated that feeling. But he couldn't make Sephiroth be less angry, and he sure as hell didn't want to make things worse by trying.]

I'm not sure his definition of 'good' will match yours.

But I'm his friend, even if he doesn't remember it. If I can, I won't leave him to his own devices.
