The time has come. Looking for individuals willing to go to Lake Ira Friday the 13th in order to confront the masked killer and uncover more clues towards his motive.

[Naoto appears over video and there's probably been few more annoyed than her at something weird occurring over Mognet. There's a moment before she speaks - which is spent watching her moogle zooming about, panicked and muttering apologies, 'I forgot the holiday, kupo!'.]

So, it appears in celebration of a holiday, all fonts have been temporarily turned into... "comic sans" which, for the purposes of my post, is highly inappropriate at this time. Since the detail has been pointed out, I decided to switch formats and further elaborate on the ongoing issue.

For those who don't know, my name is Naoto and as many of you may recall, back in April, the Lake of Ira became the crime scene to several murders. This was not the first incident and I suspect it will not be the last which is why I'm looking for people willing to go to the Lake this coming Friday the 13th in order to put an end to this. His targets specifically are the camp counselors so it will be necessary for some people to remain on the camp grounds while I take another group to investigate the lake while he's active.

It is likely that you will encounter monsters active in the evening; it's equally as likely you will come face-to-face with the masked killer himself. I want you to keep that in mind should you join me in this endeavor. We'll depart in the morning and the camp has permitted us use of their facilities to rest before nightfall. We have less that two weeks so take this time to make necessary preparations.

Most detectives just seem older, like in the books. You seem more mature than most teenagers, too. [ And then he just laughs. He might've hit a sore spot, so what's the best way to smooth that out? ] My best friend's a fifteen-year-old hacker who's worked on an intergalactic scale, so it's really not weird to me.

[ And then he starts hmm-ing and making a few thoughtful noises. ] Do the counselors even know how to handle a fight, or are they going to freak out as soon as something comes near them? [ Hunk's pretty sure he'd freak out if he ran into a serial killer, so... ]

Good to know, but next time? Perhaps avoid insinuating someone is too young to be doing whatever job they are when they've already practically prepared almost everything. I've heard that more than enough.

[Now, hopefully that can be put aside.]

The latter. We'll have to keep them calm and escort them somewhere safer.

[ There is a grumble. As much as he wants to mention that he knows someone who's over 10,000 years old, she has a point. They're (roughly) the same age, and he's a Defender of the Universe. Age really doesn't stop you from being good at a job. ]

But if they machete guy's going for the counselors, will anywhere be safe? [ This person sounds like they're gonna be pretty determined, so why not let them come to the rest of the group? ] Won't he just... y'know, follow us all?

I suspect he will not stray far from the area around the lake. As such, it will be necessary escort the counselors away from both the lake and the campgrounds once he appears. While that's happening, someone will contact the rangers and authorities for back-up.

[ There's a bit of a sad whine. He's not unfamiliar with horror movies. ] What if we can't get in touch with the authorities? Can- can they do that?

If we can't contact authorities over iMog, someone will have to get back to Tark Varentain.

Is there someone you're sure can do that? Or if something goes wrong are we all out of luck? [ He pauses for a moment. ] Like, is that someone's job?

Once I know who's coming and what Jobs everyone has taken, I can decide which individuals will be up for the task.

Well, it shouldn't be me. [ A few moments of awkward pause. ] I'm not very fast. Ever.

[ He's trying to be helpful! But he knows he should stay far away from that duty. ] Is... there anything you think I should help with?

[On her side of the iMog, she taps her chin and goes through her iMog.]

'Should' help with? ... How capable are you at taking command if needed?

I mean, I could... I think? [ There's a sheepish little chuckle. ] One time, I ran a kitchen in a space mall for a bit. [ There's a little grunt. He's thinking. ]

And another time, a friend and I took out an intergalactic communications hub. I... I guess I was in charge for that? [ He was doing a lot of shouting. ] Do those count?

Hmm... enough. You'll be in charge of your group.

[ Oh no. He's gonna be responsible for his team and the counselors and dealing with a serial killer and- ]

O-okay. [ He can't say no, she sounds like she made up her mind. Now he just has to make sure he doesn't screw it up. ] Is... Is there anything I should know? Y'know, since I'm gonna be in charge.

[ He regrets everything. ]

Anything you should know... Keep an eye on your team, keep your morale up, and don't let the killer get the counselors.
