The time has come. Looking for individuals willing to go to Lake Ira Friday the 13th in order to confront the masked killer and uncover more clues towards his motive.

- A Few Minutes following that brief post being uploaded -

[Naoto appears over video and there's probably been few more annoyed than her at something weird occurring over Mognet. There's a moment before she speaks - which is spent watching her moogle zooming about, panicked and muttering apologies, 'I forgot the holiday, kupo!'.]

So, it appears in celebration of a holiday, all fonts have been temporarily turned into... "comic sans" which, for the purposes of my post, is highly inappropriate at this time. Since the detail has been pointed out, I decided to switch formats and further elaborate on the ongoing issue.

For those who don't know, my name is Naoto and as many of you may recall, back in April, the Lake of Ira became the crime scene to several murders. This was not the first incident and I suspect it will not be the last which is why I'm looking for people willing to go to the Lake this coming Friday the 13th in order to put an end to this. His targets specifically are the camp counselors so it will be necessary for some people to remain on the camp grounds while I take another group to investigate the lake while he's active.

It is likely that you will encounter monsters active in the evening; it's equally as likely you will come face-to-face with the masked killer himself. I want you to keep that in mind should you join me in this endeavor. We'll depart in the morning and the camp has permitted us use of their facilities to rest before nightfall. We have less that two weeks so take this time to make necessary preparations.

So we need healers and sturdy armor. And people who can fight off the killer and any monsters that show up. [ He pauses for a second. ] Do the counselors have any asterisks?

[ And then there's another pause, as if he'd been contemplating Naoto's age the entire time. Seems taller than Pidge, who's like 15. Seems a bit more composed, but that might not be an age thing. ] I think you're...

Six... teen...? Maybe? [ Hunk chuckles. ] I used to be able to guess based off my age, but I've spent so long in space that I don't know how old I am anymore.

Correct. [She hums.] Some do, but their primary occupations aren't towards training with those Asterisks. They're able to handle smaller monsters that might come around, but nothing like this.

[Naoto waits because now that Hunk knows he might've said a bad, at least he's thinking about it.]

You're close enough. I'm seventeen. Still, if I'm capable at my job and have been so for years, why does my age matter?

Then no. It's kinda hard when there's not a lot of ground left. And when your home can fly everywhere.

Most detectives just seem older, like in the books. You seem more mature than most teenagers, too. [ And then he just laughs. He might've hit a sore spot, so what's the best way to smooth that out? ] My best friend's a fifteen-year-old hacker who's worked on an intergalactic scale, so it's really not weird to me.

[ And then he starts hmm-ing and making a few thoughtful noises. ] Do the counselors even know how to handle a fight, or are they going to freak out as soon as something comes near them? [ Hunk's pretty sure he'd freak out if he ran into a serial killer, so... ]

Good to know, but next time? Perhaps avoid insinuating someone is too young to be doing whatever job they are when they've already practically prepared almost everything. I've heard that more than enough.

[Now, hopefully that can be put aside.]

The latter. We'll have to keep them calm and escort them somewhere safer.

It's the beginning of a new month. Let's hope it just slipped their minds.

[ There is a grumble. As much as he wants to mention that he knows someone who's over 10,000 years old, she has a point. They're (roughly) the same age, and he's a Defender of the Universe. Age really doesn't stop you from being good at a job. ]

But if they machete guy's going for the counselors, will anywhere be safe? [ This person sounds like they're gonna be pretty determined, so why not let them come to the rest of the group? ] Won't he just... y'know, follow us all?

That's true.

Well, since they'll allow us to use their cabins, you'll need your gear for any battles that evening, but pack a sleeping bag, a spare change of clothes, a towel, flashlight or torch with fuel, insect repellent, any toiletries, and a first aid kit. There would be more, but the campgrounds has a community kitchen and dining area, and food will be supplied.

I suspect he will not stray far from the area around the lake. As such, it will be necessary escort the counselors away from both the lake and the campgrounds once he appears. While that's happening, someone will contact the rangers and authorities for back-up.

Yeah, stuff like that usually wouldn't.

[ Status effects! Usually quite temporary. Although... a thought occurs to her. ]

Wonder if it'd be possible to modify the move in a way to help keep the guy pinned once we get him down there...

-Baiken has her doubts about that hope, but she keeps them to herself, for the moment.-

My, my...you're certainly bold, Naoto-kun. I feel as though most people your age would be looking to avoid a murderer.

[Azusa's voice is devoid of judgement, however; she only sounds impressed. Maybe a little worried if Naoto does the aural version of squinting.]

Do you think I'd be any help?

Yeah I don't think I should skip out on this after all. Reckon you could all use a season law enforcement agent among the ranks to help find this guy? Even if I'm a little old for camp.

Mmm... perhaps.

[How many comments does that make towards her age though...?]

I think so, Miura-san.

Hm... there are abilities that extend support skills. There might be others that do the same for status effects.

When I was your age...my, I shouldn't finish that thought. That makes me sound much older than I am, doesn't it?

[She laughs it off.]

Ah, I'd love to help, then. Will that friend of yours be there?

[ Time Dilation. Useful stuff! ]

Either way though, it doesn't even have to be a specific move, really. Just... creative thinking.

[ She's admittedly noticed that actual moves and abilities tend to be more effective here on Vaikuntha, but they can't be the only way of getting things done in a fight. ]

Hm... I don't think there should be an issue with you coming along.

Not at all. Every age reflects even if they don't do so vocally.

[She blinks.]

You're speaking of Kanji-kun? Yes, he will. We don't intend on getting into fights often without the other if we can avoid it.

What makes you think that will be the day the killer strikes again?

[Roxas doesn't know or care about fonts, but if it bothers someone he'll try to be accommodating.]

Because he's been attacking every Friday the 13th from the records I've been allowed to view.

... I'm sure if we all made an effort of keeping him grounded by any means, it would be possible.

[Potentially meant trading off using more effective attacks to rid of him sooner, but if there was an opportunity to make him more vulnerable, it had to be taken.]

Is there something special about that day?

Likely. Though, why it is has yet to be undercovered.

Maybe they just really like Fridays and the number thirteen?

[He liked the number thirteen... But he wasn't sure it was a significant number beyond having special meaning to him.]
