Hello, my name is Komaeda Nagito. This is the first time I'll be addressing everyone, it's a pleasure to directly interact with everyone who was amazing enough to be styled a protagonist.

But first, let me get I to what I would like to talk about. There are two topics I'm interested in.

1: If you were ever in the world called Christallis, can you share your experiences there? Or agree to an interview?

2: Is there anyone I interested in archeology? Though not an immediate plan of action, I feel looking into that will bring I interesting discoveries.

[ Oh he's still here. Well... better say hello. Just to make sure he's okay!! ]

1. I don't think I've been to such a world.
2. I've never really been interested but it deos sound intriguing currently. Is this something you do for a living?

[ She's not going to reply right away but she's definitely keeping an eye on this.

Also she may have a slightly improved opinion of you, Komaeda. ]

Nice to meet you, Komaeda. Also, protagonist? That's a good one. Pretty sure this isn't a game.

1. I've already shared some things with Futaba, but, sure. What would you like to know?

2. Never poked at it. Most I've done is study Jungian philosophy for a Job, so.

[ Yes, she vividly remembers. ]

With archeology? How do you figure?

[Oh, Komaeda. If only he could say it openly without everyone slamming into him and either going vitriolic or denying it if they knew him. He is was an antagonist before... everything they're likely to discuss. So he just lets that comment slide.]

We'd just killed Kalki, who for those who haven't seen the notes Futaba shared, was a woman set on ending the cycle of death and destruction by destroying the concepts of life and death entirely. The natives of Crystallis that survived during the ruin that took place in the five years of our stasis were celebrating and erected a statue of the four of ours that disappeared.

We were given two weeks to decide whether we wanted to return home, go with someone else, or remain on Crystallis for the rest of our lives. Many of those I'd befriended during those seven years decided to return home, and so did I. I'd said goodbye to the woman I loved and was saying goodbye to the two women who'd taken me in as their own when I woke up here.

The four who vanished at the end of the battle were: Tear Grants, Minato Arisato, Sephiroth, and Sayaka Miki.

I can't say who all stayed. Didn't talk to most of them and was a bit of a loner. One I know for sure stayed was Ramza Belouve. A couple others I can think of were: Cloud Strife and Reno. Not sure about anyone else.

A world connected to another world? Is that even possible? I'm not sure I understand. Is it a world that still exists?
acceptedlife: (hm ♡ there's a memory...)

[personal profile] acceptedlife 2018-06-22 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
What they did I don't know, but it killed them. They're the real heroes of the last cycle of death for Crystallis and many other worlds.

There's plenty. A couple of us have tried to sketch up a map from what we remembered, but a lot changed while we were cast into stasis for five years. When they're both done, I'll see about sending you a copy. Until then, which would you like to know about? What was there before the world fell to ruin? Or after?

[personal profile] euphemia 2018-06-22 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
That seems strange. What could possibly be the reason we were brought here then? And what happened to the previous world?
acceptedlife: (questioning ♡ is that what you think?)

[There is a very, very long pause as he types this out.]

Fair warning, then. A good half of this is what I got from Reno and Sparks Nevada. They might need to confirm if some of this is right.

Before the world was wrecked by Kalki and her four Archfiends, there were three major continents with four major islands in the center and to the south.

To the north was the Lost Continent with the Temple of Wind and Trano Golsaucia to the west and Mythril Mines to the east.

The Continent of Balance was on the east with Aqures Ixen - our main city as "Heroes of Light" to the northernmost point in a place called the Calm Plains. Slightly northwest of there was the Monster Arena and south of it was the chocobo farm. Mognet Central was on an island northeast of the continent.

On the edge of the Calm Lands and the Desert of Roalie was the Republic of Esdham. Many of our own joined its military. The Ruins of Roalie were to the south and beyond that was the Chocobo Forest. There were other cities and the Temple of Earth, but the most important was the Imperial City of Hera. They were our enemies for some time, who came from a large island southeast of the continent of balance.

To the west was the Continent of Ruin. There were many ancient ruins to the south along with the cities of Downapolis and Aerilon on an island to the south. Mysidian Tower stood to the east of Downapolis and south of the Lunar Gate from what I've been told. I've only visited Mysidia, myself, which lay north of the bay of the Gate. There was also the Temple of the Heroes of Light southwest of there, and the Plains of Sorrow to the north. On the other side of the Plains was the Crystal Forest and the Crystal Life Tree, which hid the siphon used to absorb the life of other worlds into the First Crystal.

I don't know much about the islands other than one held the Temple of Water, but the most important island at the center was to the north and held the ruins of Aqures Tosf. The original home of the Crystal of Fire that most of us awoke by in A.I. and was awakened in order to start the cycle that summoned me and many others.

It's not a pretty story.

After... The Lost Continent remained mostly unchanged, though Trano Golsaucia was left in ruins. A village of Santa Claus sprouted up north of the mythril mines. I know it most because I woke up not far west of there. Do not recommend being buried in snow while wearing very thin clothes, by the way.

The Continent of Balance was split into three. Aqures Ixen became a ghost city overrun by Heroes who'd gone into stasis and their other selves took over. The calm lands became a mire. Every city otherwise was unlivable and abandoned. The chocobo forest was later known as cursed, and a village of "outcasts" was formed to the far west of the continent.

The Continent of Ruin split in two, the Temple of the Heroes of Light was forgotten as Aerilion II was formed north of the island it used to be. The Tower of Mysidia became "New Mysidia".

I don't know what happened to Old Mysidia, other than ti was taken over by the Archfiend of Fire. Was a little preoccupied with the Archfiend of Wind.

Aqures Tosf became known as Kalki's Castle. That's where the final confrontation occurred.

When we were summoned to Crystallis, not all of us made it there. Some of our personalities, the things and we are but deny either to ourselves or others, were left behind inside the Calamity itself. Their Shadow, or ID as Freud put it.

Remember how I mentioned Jungian philosophy? That's why.

[He doesn't even wait to be asked. Instead, he adds the information he shared with Futaba. Information he wrote down and shared with another Cid as a part of his and three others' research.]

It's incredibly archaic, but in Jungian's philosophy on psychology and the collective unconscious, the person and their personality are divided into four separately distinct parts: the Ego, the Shadow, the Persona, and the Anima or Animus depending on the person's gender.

The ego is what is aware, and controls the persona - the masks one wears to face different aspects of reality. The shadow is everything one unknowingly denies of themselves or hide from others. The anima or animus, how they view the members of the opposite gender.

Ordinarily, most would go through life only facing their shadows when the ego or an external force makes them look inward to their own unconscious, but those who were summoned to Crystallis... well.

Because of the tie we had to the Calamity, sometimes the planet itself deemed us as a threat and put us in something called Crystal Stasis. Many Heroes from other versions of my home and others succumbed to it. Even me, but I was lucky and woke up. Before everything hit the fan, those who were aware had to face ours in order to become immune to the Calamity's effects on the world. Anyone who wasn't immediately crystallized.

Exactly what I thought when it came up briefly during the trip to find the new arrivals.

[How it came up, he's not saying. It's a bit too close to home. Especially when he has to prepare talking to one person he still hates and another he has a slightly easier trust starting to form.]

I'll see about contacting the others again to progress a bit more. Until then, anything else you'd like to know?

Will do- ah. Don't think I introduced myself.
