Digging Continues (Open, threadjacking encouraged once again!)

[ VIP week at Sparks Golsaucia's still going on, true, but it involves a lot of loud noise and people and Futaba ain't here for that without the rest of her friends. So instead she's been working on something else. Something even the people who didn't join in can hopefully appreciate. ]

So. Got a few things for you all and a few questions in return, especially for the newbies.

First of all, I've got some notes for you all. Some of you might remember the post I made a couple months back. Been doing research since then, so I figured I'd follow up with my findings. The more this info is widely spread the better. Also if you've got anything to add from searches on your own, feel free to talk about it here or lemme know and I can add it. We may even want to have like... some kinda meeting to discuss this stuff?

I'm not organizing it though.

Unfortunately this place doesn't have the internet, so I can't just make a website for these notes. Pretty much all I can do is make my files available for download as of right now, so I'll have to post an updated version periodically. Sucks but there's nothing I can do yet.

On that note, one of the big questions last time was about a strange little girl with blond hair who called herself Ashelia. She only turned up right after the new arrivals, and only spoke to a few people before disappearing again. Anybody happen to see her this time around? Looking at newbies especially for this one.

Also a Moogle that shouted some kind of doomsday prophecies about a "she," I guess.

[ She'll ask more questions if anybody actually happens to volunteer information. No point typing a lot up front if it turns out she wasn't even here.

And... as for the last thing. And the thing she's especially glad she's using text for. ]

Also... back on Earth, a lot of countries around the world happen to celebrate Father's Day on the third Sunday of June (sixth month). Which is... this one, I guess?

Wait, Ardyn Izunia did what, where?

I'm sorry, I'm still a recent arrival but the name caught my attention. He is from the world I come from.

He was a recent arrival to Crystallis, I think, before everything went down at the end. Only saw him the once and immediately disliked him despite him... saying a lot of things that rang true in the heat of battle.

[It's incredibly awkward to admit, honestly. How much truth rang in his words despite being an Obvious Scumbag.]

An Archfiend was a Hero of Light who sided with Kalki's designs for the destruction of the concepts of life and death. I think Ardyn was the one of Fire? Never spoke to him directly, or saw him personally after the battle I mentioned earler. Was a bit busy dealing with the Archfiend of Wind, who... was a friend of mine.

[If a sense of betrayal could be conveyed over text...]

Apparently he was studying the differences in the types of crystals of the world. Kind of kicking myself for not getting a look at his research notes.

Thank you, that is very informative. Also, as you already introduced myself, my name is Regis. My first days here were a bit of a shock for those from my world, since it seems they are all from a lot later than I am, but I think that has settled, somewhat.

Does 'dealing' with your friend mean 'battling,' or were there other options?

In our world, Ardyn Izunia appeared out of nowhere and became an Imperial Chancellor within a very short span of time. He introduced... innovations to their military which made their army very difficult to compete with. Although I wonder if his research was significant - and if a similar one would be relevant to this place.

Nice to meet you, and I know the feeling. Everyone from at least a version of my worlds mistook me for my brother, Riku. Still think one of them's a bit brain broken at the time differences.

He forced a fight. Pretty sure a mutual friend or two was more beat up about it. He likely lived, if it helps. Don't think he realized that battling your friends is kind of another day that ends with "y" where I'm from. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Huh. Wonder if he helped Ales with some of his own creations. Was it mechanical-based?

What do you mean by that? I know the research on the crystals ironically helped save one of ours who wound up possessed by Kalki's soul, but...

And I see.

They were... armored units of superb strength and agility who do not seem to feel pain. For the most part, opening the suits resulted in a cloud of... something, and then they seemed empty. It's possible that they were mechanical.

[ Though Regis would not bet on it. ]

I mean that while from all I can see, there are differences between this world and that, there are similarities enough that, perhaps, exploring a similar path may yield results that are different but no less important.

Besides, on Eos there is a Crystal that communicates and has its will be know to some select individuals, and it can be pretty important. If something like that is relevant here, we might as well find out about it, right?

Funny you should mention that... I think almost every Hero of Light on Crystallis woke up to a large red Crystal telling them to awaken, and did with a small crystal that could fit in your hand. Some were red that turned blue over time and darkened depending on how many times they died and were resurrected. Well, until someone angered some eldritch abomination.

Others were white or clear, and then there was the black which did... a lot of nasty things if anyone touched them.

Not sure how relevant that is here, but the fact that a talking Crystal is something at least two worlds share's kinda... weird. Neither world I've been to before has that. And I think there's a crystal research center on the island I work on.
