Digging Continues (Open, threadjacking encouraged once again!)

[ VIP week at Sparks Golsaucia's still going on, true, but it involves a lot of loud noise and people and Futaba ain't here for that without the rest of her friends. So instead she's been working on something else. Something even the people who didn't join in can hopefully appreciate. ]

So. Got a few things for you all and a few questions in return, especially for the newbies.

First of all, I've got some notes for you all. Some of you might remember the post I made a couple months back. Been doing research since then, so I figured I'd follow up with my findings. The more this info is widely spread the better. Also if you've got anything to add from searches on your own, feel free to talk about it here or lemme know and I can add it. We may even want to have like... some kinda meeting to discuss this stuff?

I'm not organizing it though.

[ Nope. Nope. Not a chance. Putting together notes and tossing them out to the wind? That she can do. Organizing a bunch of people and talking to them and all that kind of thing? Nope. ]

Unfortunately this place doesn't have the internet, so I can't just make a website for these notes. Pretty much all I can do is make my files available for download as of right now, so I'll have to post an updated version periodically. Sucks but there's nothing I can do yet.

Anyway here's the file: file:vaikunthanotes

[ And next... ]

On that note, one of the big questions last time was about a strange little girl with blond hair who called herself Ashelia. She only turned up right after the new arrivals, and only spoke to a few people before disappearing again. Anybody happen to see her this time around? Looking at newbies especially for this one.

Also a Moogle that shouted some kind of doomsday prophecies about a "she," I guess.

[ She'll ask more questions if anybody actually happens to volunteer information. No point typing a lot up front if it turns out she wasn't even here.

And... as for the last thing. And the thing she's especially glad she's using text for. ]

Also... back on Earth, a lot of countries around the world happen to celebrate Father's Day on the third Sunday of June (sixth month). Which is... this one, I guess?

So. Happy Father's Day.

[ Especially to her own dad, even if... he isn't here... ]

I spoke with a man that implied this world might be related to another world they had been in before here. So, that may be worth looking into. Supposedly that world ended, but they saved it or something.

[He didn't care about holidays for parents, so he made no comment about that part of the post. He barely remembered his own.]

I'm sorry he's the way he is.

That is what he called it.

[He hadn't actually read the notes first, just straight up replied when he reached the bottom of the post. It does take him a bit longer to reply after reading the notes.]

But, I don't think they're actually distinctly different. I think one is more... an evolution of the other.

It's a bit like finding out the plot twist of the numbered sequel of a game that was put in last second to make them both related to each other and start a franchise.

The eyewitnesses simply lack enough information sadly.

His name was Sparks Navada I believe. When we were talking we wondered if perhaps we might find evidence of before The Calamity. Though it would take serious archaeological efforts to try.

From what I can gather, they were there, but, they didn't get to see everything that happened, and didn't get to see things that happened after leaving. It gives a lot of blank spaces.

Not a poll, but lining up experiences and writing them down as a whole picture is how history books are written.

I have no desire to be covered in dirt either. That's a task for someone inclined for it.

I found asking question can be easier for people. If you ask a question they can answer rather than trying to prompt them to describe something complicated.

[He had found it a good way to try and explain things to people who couldn't understand difficult concepts as well.]

Wouldn't a simple answer to that be, just ask people to tell their story over these devices? I could easily do that much. A call out post.

People struggle with broad questions, in this situation we must think of it as investigation, and use investigation interviews as the method to obtain information. When someone shares their story, narrow it down with questions to get the parts the seem most noteworthy.

I don't mind, I've been interested in learning more since speaking with Nevada.

Good. It's been a while since I could try and solve something.

[It was like he was plying a game.]
