Yeah! I got a little book about 'em from somebody in the Summoner's Guild when I peeked in. They're little summon spirits that cast magic shields and stuff. They have gems in their foreheads and they come in all kinds of colors. Some old stories say they like to eat rubies.

I got plans to make a friggin' pile of plush carbuncles. Like, life sized, so they're extra cuddly. They're almost as big as a small dog.
