[An hour or so later, it's time for a private message. However, it was a technical oversight sort of evening. In contrast to the guy showing up earlier with slangy, slouchy confidence, he seemed a bit fidgety this time around.]

Y-... yo, Naoto! So this ain't a huge deal, but I'm almost done with your birthday present and I, uh... I need to make sure it fits. Normally the person would put the stuff on and see if somethin' needs to be looser or tighter and I'd just fix it no problem, but I wanna keep the final outfit a complete surprise.

[His eyes turned away from the camera, his face an awkward pink.]

[Exchanging one more look with Suzette, Naoto headed to her room and hung up her coat there. Once she was sure it wasn't going to fall from her chair, she crossed from her room to Kanji's room, knocking on the door.]

[Selphie looks thoughtful for a couple moments before she counters with a question of her own.]

[Suzette just masked her face with her fan, snickering. This poor woman...]

Y-yeah, totally ready! All the work's just made my place messy and I wanted it nice is all!

[Well, he said he's ready. So, slowly, Naoto opened the door and stepped inside. She was down to her dress shirt beneath, but nothing major... should be fine, right?]

[Perhaps she'd wonder what sort of mess the room once was, because this wasn't typical of a boy's room. Either his mother was a stickler for making sure his spaces were clean, or he'd simply been a bit of a neat freak. Then again, considering how clean the house was now, especially after they'd first moved in and noted the fine layer of dust...

Kanji was unrolling his measuring tape, but froze. Fidgeting with it now, he gestured to his chest first.]

B-but I guess I got scared as hell when that came out all public because a big part of that Secret Lab back then was about your body, and how embarrassed and angry ya were with how people treated ya for it. [Considering the state of his room for a moment, Naoto had to wonder what all the rummaging about previously had been. It just didn't seem like there was anything that would make so much noise even how it was organized now.]

[Quietly, she listened to him explain what he needed and what he intended to do. It was all sound and a boot cut sounded good for the pant legs he was making.]

[She'd gotten measurements before so this wouldn't be anything different or strange... well, not too strange. It was her first time being measured by Kanji and not some tailor whom she'd see regularly and also be living with for a while.]

A blindfold would've complicated matters...

[The point of measuring was to get the numbers for his use. That, and it would be difficult to measure herself and guide him to help.]

Oh... That's very considerate of you, Kanji-kun. [It really was... but it would be just like him to consider that.] I'll be fine though. It's a different world and I would expect people to not carry the same opinions. And if they choose to, then they're not worth my time.

[She stepped on the stool, still peering down at it however. It was the first she'd heard of the blue animals.]
