Out of curiosity, what does everyone think of this invitation to the Empire? (Also what does someone wear to those kinds of things?)

I think no matter what we have to go. It's a possible lead...even if it's the most suspicious one we have. If it turns out [Against all odds, he has the control not to say that.] to be a genuine offer, then we have a possible ally.

(As for what to wear, formal attire is best. Uniforms and suits.)

Well. It could be anything from actual genuine curiosity to a death trap, though it's likely a chance to get to know ... the new element in the world. Which can, if one is cautious, be taken as a chance to learn right back. Or a chance for free food. And I guess we can ask our moogles as to what they know of Imperial fashion as of ten years ago.

Space Wars? Sounds like something they had in the Tower. Never watched it, mind, too many people playing FPS and hogging the TVs.

I'm excited to see more new places and try new things. A festival in a forbidden city sounds romantic, doesn't it?

How about, try to learn as much as you can, and to not show or talk about all that you can do or all that you know. Unless you have really good reasons to trust somebody. Is that a hint that a naval theme might be safe?

We should accept the invitation but take everything they say with a grain of salt. I'm not a fan of stuffy events like this but even I have to acknowledge they have their uses. As to what to wear, I'd say you can't go wrong with a well-tailored suit.

I work mostly the first half of the work week so you're welcome to swing by then. Oh and Bonnie's living with me so I can try to keep an eye on her when I can.

Personally, I'm going to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. :)

And what kind of things do you wear normally? If you have nicer things, you could probably just wear those. Otherwise, formal wear might be a safe bet.

You have a good point. So we'd need to plan it as we entered the city and that won't be solid and prone to error. Especially if some of us are being watched.

Eh, I tended to wing it. Lot easier with people you don't know likely to do something really, really dumb.

White mage, mostly. There's some pale yellow jacket in my closet, but that's about it?

Just saying. Other gods I can handle, but empires are little out of my experience.I think I'll be fine but hey I won't turn down an offer. If there was more time, I would've suggested a scouting mission to plan out escape routes too.

7th sounds good to me. Should be home by late afternoon if all goes well. If you need tips in finding a suit, I'd be happy to help when you come by. A good suit not only enhances one's image but won't impede too much should a brawl break out.

Formal wear's good. Or just about anything that won't embarrass you or others in public.

But! Black and pale yellow would work really well together. Or black and any other light color.
