High school is the norm, but not strictly necessary. There are more practical and technical fields where you wouldn’t necessarily receive the necessary education in standard curriculums.
I did not attend public school, and was mostly taught by tutors. Yet here I am, holding a job at the Center. As a matter of fact, my primary focus growing up was the field of a White Mage. Education can compliment your field, but isn’t strictly the end all be all.
